1. 1

   说到祭偶像之物，我们晓得我们都有知识。但知识是叫人自高自大，唯有爱能造就人。

   说到向偶像奉献的东西，我们知道我们都有知识。知识膨胀，但仁爱启发。

   论到祭偶像之物，我们晓得我们都有知识。但知识是叫人自高自大，惟有爱心能造就人。

   Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

2. 2

   若有人以为自己知道什么，按他所应当知道的，他仍是一无所知。

   如果有任何人认为自己知道什么，按他应该知道的，他还是一无所知。

   若有人以为自己知道什么，按他所当知道的，他仍是不知道。

   And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.

3. 3

   若有人爱神，这人是神所知道的。

   如果有任何人爱神，这人是被神知道的。

   若有人爱　神，这人乃是　神所知道的。

   But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

4. 4

   说到吃祭偶像之物，我们知道偶像在世上什么都不是，也知道神只有一位，再没有别的神。

   因此，说到吃这些向偶像祭祀的牺牲物里的东西，我们知道偶像在世界上什么都不是，也知道没有别的神，只有一位。

   论到吃祭偶像之物，我们知道偶像在世上算不得什么，也知道神只有一位，再没有别的神。

   As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.

   虽有称为众神的，或在天，或在地，（就如那许多的神，许多的主，）

   虽然有被称为众神的，或在天里，或在地里，（就如有许多的神，许多的主，）

   虽有称为神的，或在天，或在地，就如那许多的神，许多的主；

   For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

   然而我们只有一位神，就是父，万物都属于他；我们也在他里面，并有一位主耶稣基督，万物都是借着他有的；我们也是借着他有的。

   然而对于我们就只有一位神，就是父亲，所有事物都出于他，我们也在他里面；并有一位主耶稣受膏者，所有事物都借着他存有；我们也借着他存有。

   然而我们只有一位　神，就是父，万物都本于他，我们也归于他；并有一位主，就是耶稣基督，万物都是藉着他有的；我们也是藉着他有的。

   But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

7. 7

   但人不都有这等知识。有人到现在因拜惯了偶像，就以为所吃的是祭偶像之物。他们的良心既然软弱，也就污秽了。

   但不是每个人都有那知识；因有些人到此时还带着偶像的良心，就把它当作献给偶像的东西来吃；然后他们的良心既然软弱，就被污秽了。

   但人不都有这等知识。有人到如今因拜惯了偶像，就以为所吃的是祭偶像之物。他们的良心既然软弱，也就污秽了。

   Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

8. 8

   其实食物不能叫神看中我们，因为我们吃也无益，不吃也无损。

   但食物不能把我们推荐给神；因如果我们吃，也不会更好；如果我们不吃，也不会更坏。

   其实食物不能叫　神看中我们，因为我们不吃也无损，吃也无益。

   But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.

9. 9

   只是你们要谨慎，恐怕你们这自由竟成了那软弱人的绊脚石。

   而是要谨慎，以免你们的这个自由以任何方式成为那些软弱之人的一块绊脚石。

   只是你们要谨慎，恐怕你们这自由竟成了那软弱人的绊脚石。

   But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your's become a stumbling block to them that are weak.

10. 10

    若有人见你这有知识的，在偶像的殿里坐席，这人的良心若是软弱，难道不放胆去吃那祭偶像之物吗？

    因如果任何人见你这有知识的，坐在偶像的殿里进食，这人的良心是软弱的，难道他不会放胆去吃那些献给偶像的东西？

    若有人见你这有知识的，在偶像的庙里坐席，这人的良心若是软弱，岂不放胆去吃那祭偶像之物吗？

    For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

11. 11

    因此，基督为他死的那软弱弟兄，也就因你的知识灭亡了。

    由于你的知识，受膏者为他而死的那个软弱的弟兄就要灭亡吗？

    因此，基督为他死的那软弱弟兄，也就因你的知识沉沦了。

    And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

12. 12

    你们这样得罪弟兄们，伤了他们软弱的良心，就是得罪基督。

    而且当你们这样向弟兄们犯罪，伤害了他们软弱的良心时，你们就在针对受膏者犯罪。

    你们这样得罪弟兄们，伤了他们软弱的良心，就是得罪基督。

    But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

13. 13

    所以，肉若叫我弟兄跌倒，只要世界还存立，我就不吃肉，免得叫我弟兄跌倒。

    所以，如果食物造成我的弟兄冒犯，那么世界还站立时，我就不吃肉，以免我冒犯我的弟兄。

    所以，食物若叫我弟兄跌倒，我就永远不吃肉，免得叫我弟兄跌倒了。

    Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.
