1. 1

   撒母耳年纪老迈，就立他众子作审判官治理以色列。

   这样发生了，当撒姆尔老了，他就使他的众子作众审判者治理以色列。

   撒母耳年纪老迈，就立他儿子作以色列的士师。

   And it came to pass, when Samuel was old, that he made his sons judges over Israel.

2. 2

   长子名叫约珥，次子名叫亚比亚；他们在别是巴判断。

   现在他首生的名叫约尔；第二个名叫阿比亚；他们在比耳实巴里审判。

   长子名叫约珥，次子名叫亚比亚；他们在别是巴作士师。

   Now the name of his firstborn was Joel; and the name of his second, Abiah: they were judges in Beersheba.

3. 3

   他儿子们不行他的道路，贪图财利，收受贿赂，屈枉正直。

   他的众子没有走在他的众道路里，而是转到了旁边去跟从钱财，收取贿赂，歪曲判决。

   他儿子不行他的道，贪图财利，收受贿赂，屈枉正直。

   And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.

4. 4

   以色列的长老都聚集，来到拉玛见撒母耳，

   那时以色列的所有长者都自己聚集到一起，来到冉马到了撒姆尔那里，

   以色列的长老都聚集，来到拉玛见撒母耳，

   Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,

   对他说，你看，你年纪老迈了，你儿子们不行你的道。现在求你为我们立一个王审判我们，像列国一样。

   对他说，看啊，你老了，你的众子没有走在你的众道路里；现在像所有国家一样为我们立一个王审判我们吧。

   对他说：“你年纪老迈了，你儿子不行你的道。现在求你为我们立一个王治理我们，像列国一样。”

   And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.

6. 6

   但撒母耳不喜悦他们说给我们一个王审判我们，他就祷告耶和华。

   但撒姆尔不喜悦这事，当他们说，给我们一个王来审判我们。撒姆尔就向主请求。

   撒母耳不喜悦他们说“立一个王治理我们”，他就祷告耶和华。

   But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD.

7. 7

   耶和华对撒母耳说，百姓向你说的所有声音，你只管听；因为他们不是拒绝你，而是拒绝我，不要我统治他们。

   主对撒姆尔说，听取人民向你说的所有声音吧；因为他们不是拒绝了你，而是拒绝了我，不要我统治他们。

   耶和华对撒母耳说：“百姓向你说的一切话，你只管依从；因为他们不是厌弃你，乃是厌弃我，不要我作他们的王。

   And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

8. 8

   自从我领他们出埃及到现在，他们常常离弃我，侍奉其他众神。现在他们向你所行的，是照他们素来所行的。

   自从我带他们出埃及上来那天到今天，他们已经离弃了我，并服务其他众神，他们也 是这样对你做的。

   自从我领他们出埃及到如今，他们常常离弃我，侍奉别神。现在他们向你所行的，是照他们素来所行的。

   According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.

9. 9

   因此你要听他们的声音，只是要严肃地向他们声明，告诉他们将来那王会怎样统治他们。

   因此你现在听取他们的声音；然而要严肃地告诫他们，显给他们那王要统治他们的方式。

   故此你要依从他们的话，只是当警戒他们，告诉他们将来那王怎样管辖他们。”

   Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.

10. 10

    撒母耳将耶和华一切的话语都告诉求他立王的百姓，说，

    撒姆尔就把主一切的话语都告诉了那要他立一个王的人民。

    撒母耳将耶和华的话都传给求他立王的百姓，说：

    And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king.

11. 11

    统治你们的王必这样行：他必派你们的儿子为他赶车、跟马，奔走在车前；

    他说，要统治你们的王的方式是这样的；他要选你们的众子，指定他们为他赶他的战车，作他的骑兵；有些人要奔走在他的战车前面；

    “管辖你们的王必这样行：他必派你们的儿子为他赶车、跟马，奔走在车前；

    And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.

12. 12

    又派他们作千夫长、五十夫长，为他耕种田地，收割庄稼，打造军器和车上的器械；

    他又要指定人作千夫长和五十夫长；立他们耕种他的地面，收割他的收成，造他战争的器具和他战车上的器具。

    又派他们作千夫长、五十夫长，为他耕种田地，收割庄稼，打造军器和车上的器械；

    And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.

13. 13

    必让你们的女儿为他制造香膏，作饭烤饼；

    他要选你们的女儿们去作糖果师，作厨师，并作面点师。

    必取你们的女儿为他制造香膏，做饭烤饼；

    And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers.

14. 14

    也必把你们最好的田地、葡萄园、橄榄园给他的臣仆。

    他又要拿走你们的田地，你们的葡萄园，你们的橄榄园，都是其中最好的，给他的众仆人。

    也必取你们最好的田地、葡萄园、橄榄园赐给他的臣仆。

    And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants.

15. 15

    你们的粮食和葡萄园所出的，他必把十分之一给他的官长和臣仆；

    你们的粮食和葡萄园所出的种子的十分之一，他要给他的众官员和他的众仆人。

    你们的粮食和葡萄园所出的，他必取十分之一给他的太监和臣仆；

    And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants.

16. 16

    他又必叫你们的男仆、女仆，健壮的少年人和你们的驴，为他工作，

    他又要选你们的众男仆，你们的众女仆，最俊美的年轻人们，你们的驴，去为他工作。

    又必取你们的仆人婢女，健壮的少年人和你们的驴，供他的差役。

    And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work.

17. 17

    你们的羊群，他必取十分之一，你们也必作他的仆人。

    他要取你们羊群的十分之一；你们也要作他的众仆人。

    你们的羊群他必取十分之一，你们也必作他的仆人。

    He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants.

18. 18

    那日你们必因所选的王哀求，耶和华却不听你们。

    你们到那天就会因你们为自己选的王而呼喊；到那天主不会听你们。

    那时你们必因所选的王哀求耶和华，耶和华却不应允你们。”

    And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day.

19. 19

    然而，百姓不愿意听撒母耳的声音，他们说，不，我们要一个王治理我们，

    然而，人民拒绝听从撒姆尔的声音；他们说，不；我们就要一个王治理我们；

    百姓竟不肯听撒母耳的话，说：“不然！我们定要一个王治理我们，

    Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us;

20. 20

    使我们像列国一样，有王审判我们，在我们前面行，为我们争战。

    使我们也可以类似所有国家；有我们的王来审判我们，并在我们前面出去，又打我们的仗。

    使我们像列国一样，有王治理我们，统领我们，为我们争战。”

    That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.

21. 21

    撒母耳听见百姓这一切话，就将这话陈明在耶和华的耳中。

    撒姆尔听了人民一切的话语，他就把它们重述到主的耳中。

    撒母耳听见百姓这一切话，就将这话陈明在耶和华面前。

    And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the LORD.

22. 22

    耶和华对撒母耳说，你只管听他们的声音，为他们立一个王。撒母耳对以色列人说，你们各归各城去吧！

    主对撒姆尔说，听取他们的声音，为他们立一个王。撒姆尔就对以色列众人说，你们各人回自己的城去吧。

    耶和华对撒母耳说：“你只管依从他们的话，为他们立王。”撒母耳对以色列人说：“你们各归各城去吧！”

    And the LORD said to Samuel, Hearken unto their voice, and make them a king. And Samuel said unto the men of Israel, Go ye every man unto his city.
