1. 1

   我劝你，第一要为所有人恳求、祷告、代求、祝谢；

   因此，我勉励你，首先要为所有人祈求，祷告，代求，给予感谢；

   我劝你第一要为万人恳求、祷告、代求、祝谢，

   I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

   为君王和一切在位的，也该如此，使我们可以敬虔、端正、平安无事地度日。

   为众王和一切在权柄里的也是这样；使我们可以在一切敬神和诚实中，过一个宁静和平的生活。

   For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

   这是好的，在神我们的拯救者的眼前可蒙悦纳。

   因在神我们的拯救者的眼里，这是好的和可接受的；

   这是好的，在　神我们救主面前可蒙悦纳。

   For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

   他愿意万人得救并得到真理的知识。

   他愿意所有人都被拯救，并得到真理的知识。

   他愿意万人得救，明白真道。

   Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

   因为只有一位神，在神和人中间，只有一位中保，就是这人基督耶稣；

   因只有一位神，并且在神和人中间只有一位调解者，就是受膏者耶稣这人；

   因为只有一位　神，在　神和人中间，只有一位中保，乃是降世为人的基督耶稣；

   For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

   他舍自己作万人的赎价，到了时候，这事必证明出来。

   他交出了自己作一切的赎价，到了时候就被证明出来。

   Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

7. 7

   我为此被任命，作传道人和使徒，在信心和真理上作外邦人的教师。（我是在基督里说真话，没有撒谎。）

   我为此被命定，作一个传讲者和一个使徒，（我在受膏者里说真理，不说谎；）在信心和真实中作外邦人的一个教师。

   我为此奉派作传道的，作使徒，作外邦人的师傅，教导他们相信，学习真道。我说的是真话，并不是谎言。

   Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

   因此，我愿男人无愤怒，无疑惑，举起圣洁的手，随处祷告。

   因此，我愿意男人没有怒火和疑惑，举起神圣的双手，在任何地方都请求。

   我愿男人无忿怒，无争论（或译：疑惑），举起圣洁的手，随处祷告；

   I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

   同样，又愿女人廉耻、自守，以正派衣裳装饰自己，不以编发、黄金、珍珠，或贵价的衣裳装扮；

   女人同样也是，以廉耻和清醒，穿得体的衣服装饰自己；不是以编发，或金子，或珍珠，或昂贵的服装；

   又愿女人廉耻、自守，以正派衣裳为妆饰，不以编发、黄金、珍珠，和贵价的衣裳为妆饰，

   In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

    只要有善行，（这才与自称是敬虔的女人相宜。）

    而是以好工作，（这才适合声称为敬神的女人。）

    只要有善行，这才与自称是敬　神的女人相宜。

    But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

11. 11

    女人要沉静学道，完全地顺服。

    要让女人安静学习，又要完全顺从。

    女人要沉静学道，一味地顺服。

    Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

12. 12

    我不许女人教导，也不许她辖管男人，只要沉静。

    而且我不容许女人去教导，也不要篡夺权柄管辖男人，而是要安静。

    我不许女人讲道，也不许她辖管男人，只要沉静。

    But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

13. 13

    因为先造的是亚当，后造的是夏娃；

    因先造的是亚当，然后是夏娃；

    因为先造的是亚当，后造的是夏娃，

    For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

14. 14

    并且不是亚当被欺骗，而是女人被欺骗，陷在罪里。

    并且不是亚当被欺骗，而是女人被欺骗进到了违犯里。

    且不是亚当被引诱，乃是女人被引诱，陷在罪里。

    And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

15. 15

    然而，女人若一直在信心和爱里，又圣洁自守，就必在生产上得救。

    然而，如果女人一直在信心和仁爱并神圣里，又清醒，就会在生孩子里被拯救。

    然而，女人若常存信心、爱心，又圣洁自守，就必在生产上得救。

    Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
