   蒙爱的，我现在写给你们的是第二封信。这两封都是提醒你们，激发你们纯洁的心，

   蒙爱的，我现在写给你们这第二封信；这两封信都是要借着记忆的方法，搅动你们纯一的心思；

   亲爱的弟兄啊，我现在写给你们的是第二封信。这两封都是提醒你们，激发你们诚实的心，

   This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

   叫你们记念圣先知们预先所说的话语和我们的命令，就是主和拯救者的众使徒所传给你们的。

   使你们可以留意神圣的预言者们之前说的话语，和我们这些主和拯救者的众使徒传给你们的诫命；

   叫你们记念圣先知预先所说的话和主救主的命令，就是使徒所传给你们的。

   That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

   首先，该知道在末世必有好讥诮的人随从自己的私欲出来讥诮，

   首先要知道这个，在最后的那些日子里会有嗤笑者跟从他们自己的各种贪欲行走，

   第一要紧的，该知道在末世必有好讥诮的人随从自己的私欲出来讥诮说：

   Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

   说，他到来的应许在哪里呢？因为从父辈睡了以来，万物与起初创造的时候是一样的。

   并说，他到来的承诺在哪里？因自从父辈睡了以来，所有事物都按照他们从创造的开始那样持续着。

   “主要降临的应许在哪里呢？因为从列祖睡了以来，万物与起初创造的时候仍是一样。”

   And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

   他们故意忘记，从太古，借神的道有了诸天，和从水而出、仍在水中的地。

   因他们故意对这个无知，借着神的话旧时就有了众天，以及立在水上，又在水里的这地。

   他们故意忘记，从太古，凭　神的命有了天，并从水而出、藉水而成的地。

   For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

   因此，当时的世界被水淹没就毁灭了。

   借此，当时的世界被水淹没就灭亡了；

   故此，当时的世界被水淹没就消灭了。

   Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

7. 7

   但现在的诸天与地还是借着那同样的道存留，直留到不敬虔之人受审判遭沉沦的日子，用火焚烧。

   但现在的众天与这地，还是借着那同样的话被保存着，保留到不敬神之人的判决和殒灭的那日子归给火。

   但现在的天地还是凭着那命存留，直留到不敬虔之人受审判遭沉沦的日子，用火焚烧。

   But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8. 8

   但，蒙爱的，有一件事你们不要忘记，就是主看一天如千年，千年如一天。

   但，蒙爱的，不要对这件事无知，对于主一天像一千年，一千年像一天。

   亲爱的弟兄啊，有一件事你们不可忘记，就是主看一日如千年，千年如一日。

   But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9. 9

   主所应许的尚未成就，有人以为他是耽搁，其实不是耽搁，而是对我们恒久忍耐，不愿任何人灭亡，而愿所有人都悔改。

   关于主的承诺，他没有松懈，一些人算为是松懈；但对于我们是恒久忍受，不愿意任何人灭亡，而是所有人都应该来悔改。

   主所应许的尚未成就，有人以为他是耽延，其实不是耽延，乃是宽容你们，不愿有一人沉沦，乃愿人人都悔改。

   The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10. 10

    但主的日子来到，要像夜间的贼来到一样。那日子，诸天必在一声巨响中废去，各种元素都要被炙热熔化，地和其中的工作都要烧光了。

    但主的日子会像夜里的小偷一样来到；在其中众天会随着一声巨响废去，并且众元素都会被炽热熔化，这地和其中的各种工作也都会被烧掉。

    但主的日子要像贼来到一样。那日，天必大有响声废去，有形质的都要被烈火销化，地和其上的物都要烧尽了。

    But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11. 11

    这一切既然都要被溶解了，你们为人该怎样圣洁，怎样敬虔，

    既然所有这些事物都会被溶解了，那么在一切神圣的为人和敬神上，你们应该去成为什么样子的人？

    这一切既然都要如此销化，你们为人该当怎样圣洁，怎样敬虔，

    Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

    等候和催促神的日子来到。在那日，诸天被火烧就溶解了，各种元素都要被炙热熔化。

    盼望着并催促着神的日子来到，在那日子里众天会被火烧就溶解，并且众元素都会被炽热熔化。

    切切仰望　神的日子来到。在那日，天被火烧就销化了，有形质的都要被烈火熔化。

    Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13. 13

    但我们照他的应许，盼望新诸天和新地，有义住在其中。

    尽管如此，我们按照他的承诺，盼望新的众天和一个新地，其中有正义居住。

    但我们照他的应许，盼望新天新地，有义居在其中。

    Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14. 14

    因此，蒙爱的，你们既盼望这些事，就应当殷勤，使自己没有玷污，无可指责，平安见主；

    所以，蒙爱的，既然你们盼望这样的事情，就要殷勤，使你们可以没有斑点，无可指责，在和平里被他找到。

    亲爱的弟兄啊，你们既盼望这些事，就当殷勤，使自己没有玷污，无可指摘，安然见主；

    Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

15. 15

    并且要以我们的主的恒久忍耐为拯救；就如我们所亲爱的保罗弟兄，照着所给他的智慧写了信给你们；

    并且要把我们的主之恒久忍受算为是拯救；就如我们所爱的弟兄帕尔，也按照给他的智慧写了信给你们；

    并且要以我主长久忍耐为得救的因由，就如我们所亲爱的兄弟保罗，照着所赐给他的智慧写了信给你们。

    And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

16. 16

    他一切的信上也都是讲论这些事。信中有些难明白的，那无学问、不坚固的人强解，如强解别的经文一样，就自取灭亡。

    他所有的信中也都是讲论这些事情；信中有些难理解的事情，那无学问，不坚固的人就歪曲，就像他们对其它书文做的一样，就去向他们自己的灭亡。

    他一切的信上也都是讲论这事。信中有些难明白的，那无学问、不坚固的人强解，如强解别的经书一样，就自取沉沦。

    As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

17. 17

    因此，你们蒙爱的，你们既然预先知道这事，就应当防备，免得被恶人的错误带偏离，就从自己坚固的地步上坠落了。

    因此，蒙爱的，你们提前知道这些事情，要小心，以免你们也被恶者的错误带走，就从你们自己的坚固上偏离堕落了。

    亲爱的弟兄啊，你们既然预先知道这事，就当防备，恐怕被恶人的错谬诱惑，就从自己坚固的地步上坠落。

    Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

18. 18

    但你们要在我们主和拯救者耶稣基督的恩典和知识上成长。愿荣耀归给他，从今直到永远。阿们。

    但你们要在恩典里，又在我们主和拯救者耶稣受膏者的知识里成长。荣耀归给他，从现在直到永远。阿们。

    你们却要在我们主救主耶稣基督的恩典和知识上有长进。愿荣耀归给他，从今直到永远。阿们！

    But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
