   他们经过安菲波利斯、亚波罗尼亚，来到帖撒罗尼迦，在那里有犹太人的会堂。

   现在，当他们经过了安菲波利斯和阿波罗尼亚，他们就来到塞萨洛尼基，在那里有犹太人的会堂；

   保罗和西拉经过暗妃波里、亚波罗尼亚，来到帖撒罗尼迦，在那里有犹太人的会堂。

   Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews:

   保罗照他的规矩进到他们那里去，一连三个安息日，用经文与他们辩论，

   帕尔，照他之前的方式，进到他们那里，然后通过这些书文与他们辩论了三个安息日，

   And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

   打开、陈明基督必须受害，从死里复活；又说，我所传给你们的这位耶稣就是基督。

   打开并证实受膏者必须要忍受，又从死里复活；并且我传讲给你们的这位耶稣，就是受膏者。

   Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.

   他们中间有些人信了，就与保罗和西拉结交，并有许多虔诚的希腊人，尊贵的女人也不少。

   他们中的一些人信了，就与帕尔和塞拉斯交往；还有非常众多虔诚的希腊人，和不少女人中的首领。

   他们中间有些人听了劝，就附从保罗和西拉，并有许多虔敬的希腊人，尊贵的妇女也不少。

   And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.

   但那不信的犹太人心里嫉妒，招聚了些市井匪类，搭伙成群，耸动全城的人闯进耶孙的家，要将保罗、西拉带到百姓那里。

   但那些不信的犹太人，被妒忌触动，领了些低级猥琐的家伙，聚集成一个团体，就引起全城骚动，并进攻耶森的家，又想要把他们带到人民那里。

   但那不信的犹太人心里嫉妒，招聚了些市井匪类，搭伙成群，耸动合城的人闯进耶孙的家，要将保罗、西拉带到百姓那里。

   But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.

   找不着他们，就把耶孙和几个弟兄拉到城市的官长们那里，喊叫说，那搅乱世界的也到这里来了，

   当他们找不到他们，他们就把耶森和几个弟兄拉到城市的管理者们那里，呼喊，这些颠倒世界的人也来到这里了；

   找不着他们，就把耶孙和几个弟兄拉到地方官那里，喊叫说：“那搅乱天下的也到这里来了，

   And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;

   耶孙收留他们。这些人都违背凯撒的法令，说另有一个王耶稣。

   耶森接受了他们；这些全部都违背了凯撒的旨意，说有一个耶稣，是另一个王。

   耶孙收留他们。这些人都违背凯撒的命令，说另有一个王耶稣。”

   Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.

8. 8

   百姓和这城的官长们听见这些事，他们就惊慌了；

   当他们听见这些事情，人民和这城的管理者们就不安。

   众人和地方官听见这话，就惊慌了；

   And they troubled the people and the rulers of the city, when they heard these things.

9. 9

   他们拿了耶孙和其余之人的担保，就让他们走了。

   然后当他们拿了耶森和其余的人的保证金，就放他们走了。

   于是取了耶孙和其余之人的保状，就释放了他们。

   And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let them go.

10. 10

    弟兄们立刻在夜间送保罗和西拉往庇哩亚走。二人到了，就进入犹太人的会堂。

    弟兄们立刻就在夜晚送帕尔和塞拉斯到比瑞亚去；他们来到那里，就进入犹太人的会堂。

    And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.

11. 11

    这地方的人贤于帖撒罗尼迦的人，乐意接受这道，天天考查这些经文，要晓得那些事情是与不是。

    这些比塞萨洛尼基里的人更高贵，他们乐意接受这话，并且每天搜索这些书文，要看这些事情是否是这样的。

    这地方的人贤于帖撒罗尼迦的人，甘心领受这道，天天考查圣经，要晓得这道是与不是。

    These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

12. 12

    所以他们中间有很多相信的，又有希腊尊贵的女人们，男人们也不少。

    因此他们中的许多人相信了；也有希腊尊贵的女人们，男人们也不少。

    所以他们中间多有相信的，又有希腊尊贵的妇女，男子也不少。

    Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.

13. 13

    但帖撒罗尼迦的犹太人知道保罗又在庇哩亚传神的道，也就往那里去，耸动搅扰百姓。

    但当塞萨洛尼基的犹太人有了神的话在比瑞亚被帕尔传讲的知识，他们也来到那里，并激起人民。

    But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.

    当时弟兄们便送保罗到海边去，但西拉和提摩太仍住在庇哩亚。

    于是弟兄们立刻就送帕尔像是是去海边；但塞拉斯和提摩希亚斯仍住在那里。

    当时弟兄们便打发保罗往海边去，西拉和提摩太仍住在庇哩亚。

    And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.

15. 15

    他们送保罗的人带他到了雅典，就接受了保罗的命令，叫西拉和提摩太尽快到他这里来，他们就回去了。

    然后送帕尔的那些人带他到了雅典；就接受了一个诫命，叫塞拉斯和提摩希亚斯全速来他这里，他们就离开了。

    And they that conducted Paul brought him unto Athens: and receiving a commandment unto Silas and Timotheus for to come to him with all speed, they departed.

16. 16

    保罗在雅典等候他们的时候，看见满城都是偶像，他的灵就在里面搅动；

    帕尔在雅典等候他们的时候，当他看到城市完全任意去偶像崇拜，他的灵就在他里面搅动。

    保罗在雅典等候他们的时候，看见满城都是偶像，就心里着急；

    Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.

    于是在会堂里与犹太人和虔诚的人，并每天在市上所遇见的人辩论。

    因此他就在会堂里与犹太人和虔诚的人辩论，并且每天在市场上与遇见他的人辩论。

    于是在会堂里与犹太人和虔敬的人，并每日在市上所遇见的人，辩论。

    Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.

18. 18

    还有伊壁鸠鲁和斯多亚两派的哲学家们，与他争论。有的说，这胡言乱语的要说什么？有的说，他似乎是宣传外邦众神的。这话是因保罗传讲耶稣和复活。

    于是有属埃皮克瑞恩和斯图以克的一些哲学家，与他遭遇。一些人说，这唠唠叨叨的人在说什么？另一些人说，他似乎是众外神的传播者；因为他向他们传讲耶稣，和复活。

    还有以彼古罗和斯多亚两门的学士，与他争论。有的说：“这胡言乱语的要说什么？”有的说：“他似乎是传说外邦鬼神的。”这话是因保罗传讲耶稣与复活的道。

    Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.

19. 19

    他们就把他带到亚略巴古，说，你所讲的这新教导，我们也可以知道是什么吗？

    然后他们就把他领到阿瑞亚帕各斯，说，你讲的这新教义，我们可以知道是什么吗？

    他们就把他带到亚略·巴古，说：“你所讲的这新道，我们也可以知道吗？

    And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is?

20. 20

    因为你有些奇怪的事传到我们耳中，我们愿意知道这些事是什么意思。

    因你带了一些陌生的事情给我们的耳朵；因此我们想要知道这些事情是什么意思。

    因为你有些奇怪的事传到我们耳中，我们愿意知道这些事是什么意思。”（

    For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean.

21. 21

    （雅典人和住在那里的客人都不顾别的事，只将新事说说听听。）

    （因所有雅典人和住在那里的外人们都不把他们的时间花在其它的事上，而是去说或去听一些新的事。）

    雅典人和住在那里的客人都不顾别的事，只将新闻说说听听。）

    (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)

22. 22

    保罗站在马尔斯山当中，说，各位雅典人哪，我看出你们在凡事上都很迷信。

    于是帕尔站在马尔斯山丘当中，说，你们雅典人，我意识到你们在所有事上都太迷信了。

    保罗站在亚略·巴古当中，说：“众位雅典人哪，我看你们凡事很敬畏鬼神。

    Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.

23. 23

    我经过的时候，观看你们所敬拜的，遇见一座坛，上面写着给那未知之神。你们所不认识而敬拜的，我现在把他告诉你们。

    因在我经过的时候，观看你们的崇拜，我发现一座坛有这个铭文，给未知神。因此你们无知敬拜的这位，我现在把他表明给你们。

    我游行的时候，观看你们所敬拜的，遇见一座坛，上面写着‘未识之神’。你们所不认识而敬拜的，我现在告诉你们。

    For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

24. 24

    造世界和其中万物的神，既是天地的主，就不住人手所造的殿，

    造世界和其中所有事物的神，他既然是天和地的主，就不住在用手造的殿里；

    创造宇宙和其中万物的　神，既是天地的主，就不住人手所造的殿，

    God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

25. 25

    也不用人手敬拜，好像需要什么东西；他倒把气息和万物给所有的生命。

    也不用人们的手敬拜，就像他需要什么东西一样，他既然把呼吸和所有事物都给了所有的生命；

    也不用人手服侍，好像缺少什么；自己倒将生命、气息、万物，赐给万人。

    Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

26. 26

    他从一个血脉造出万民住在全地上，并且预先定准他们的时间，和他们所住的疆界。

    就从一血造出了所有国家的人，为要住在全地的脸上，并且在任命之前就决定了时间，和他们住处的众边界；

    他从一本（本：有古卷是血脉）造出万族的人，住在全地上，并且预先定准他们的年限和所住的疆界，

    And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

27. 27

    他们应该寻求主，或许可以探寻他，发现他，然而他离我们每个人不远；

    从而他们会寻找主，或许他们可以揣摩他，找到他，尽管他离我们每一个人都不远；

    要叫他们寻求　神，或者可以揣摩而得，其实他离我们各人不远；

    That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

28. 28

    因为我们生活、动作、存留，都在他里面。就如你们作诗的，有人说，我们也是他的后裔。

    因我们活着，和移动，并我们的存有都是在他里面；就像你们自己的诗人也说过的，因我们也是他的后裔。

    我们生活、动作、存留，都在乎他。就如你们作诗的，有人说：‘我们也是他所生的。’

    For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

29. 29

    因为我们既是神的后裔，就不应当认为神的神性，像用人的器械和手艺，所雕刻的金、银、石那样。

    那么由于我们是神的后裔，我们就不应该认为神格就像借着艺术和人的设计雕刻出来的金子，或银子，或石头那样。

    我们既是　神所生的，就不当以为　神的神性像人用手艺、心思所雕刻的金、银、石。

    Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

30. 30

    过去那无知的时候，神并不追究，但现在却命令各处的人都要悔改。

    神对那些无知的时候睁只眼闭只眼；但现在命令每个一地方的所有人都悔改；

    世人蒙昧无知的时候，　神并不监察，如今却吩咐各处的人都要悔改。

    And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

31. 31

    因为他已经定了一天，要借着他所设立的人按公义审判世界，并且叫他从死里复活，给万人作确据。

    因为他已经指定了一天，在那天他要借着他已经命定的那人在正义里审判世界；为此他已经使他从死里复活，他以此给了所有人保证。

    因为他已经定了日子，要藉着他所设立的人按公义审判天下，并且叫他从死里复活，给万人作可信的凭据。”

    Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

32. 32

    当他们听见死里复活，一些就讥诮；另一些说，我们愿意再听你讲这事。

    当他们听见关于死里复活时，一些就笑话；另一些说，我们要再次听你关于这问题。

    众人听见从死里复活的话，就有讥诮他的；又有人说：“我们再听你讲这个吧！”

    And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.

33. 33

    于是保罗从他们当中离开了。

    所以帕尔就从他们当中离开了。

    于是保罗从他们当中出去了。

    So Paul departed from among them.

34. 34

    然而有几个人贴近他，相信了，其中有亚略巴古的一个法官丢尼修，并一个女人，名叫大马哩，还有其他人与他们一起。

    然而有几个人贴近他，并相信了；其中有阿瑞亚帕各斯人迪奥尼修斯，和一个名叫达马瑞斯的女人，与他们在一起的还有其他人。

    但有几个人贴近他，信了主，其中有亚略·巴古的官丢尼修，并一个妇人，名叫大马哩，还有别人一同信从。

    Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
