   那夜王睡不着觉，就命令人取历史书来，念给他听。

   那夜王睡不着觉，他就命令人带来编年史记录的书；然后他们就在王面前读。

   那夜王睡不着觉，就吩咐人取历史来，念给他听。

   On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.

2. 2

   正遇见书上写着说，王的太监中有两个守门的，辟探和提列，想要下手害亚哈随鲁王，末底改将这事告诉王后。

   发现它写道，王的内侍中有两个门的守护者，比各森和特瑞示，想要下手害阿哈苏如斯王，摩迪凯报告了这事。

   正遇见书上写着说：王的太监中有两个守门的，辟探和提列，想要下手害亚哈随鲁王，末底改将这事告诉王后。

   And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.

   王说，末底改行了这事，给他什么尊荣爵位没有？伺候王的臣仆回答说，没有给他什么。

   王说，摩迪凯做了这事，给了他什么荣耀和尊贵？于是服侍王的仆人回答说，什么也没有为他做。

   王说：“末底改行了这事，赐他什么尊荣爵位没有？”伺候王的臣仆回答说：“没有赐他什么。”

   And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.

   王说，谁在院子里？那时哈曼正进王家的外院，要求王将末底改挂在他所预备的木架上。

   王说，谁在院子里？那时哈曼正进王家的外院，要对王说，把摩迪凯挂在他准备的木架上。

   王说：“谁在院子里？”（那时哈曼正进王宫的外院，要求王将末底改挂在他所预备的木架上。）

   And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king's house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.

   众臣仆对他说，看啊，哈曼站在院内。王说，让他进来。

   然后王的众仆人对他说，看啊，哈曼站在院里。王说，让他进来。

   臣仆说：“哈曼站在院内。”王说：“叫他进来。”

   And the king's servants said unto him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.

6. 6

   哈曼就进去。王问他说，王所喜悦尊荣的人，应当如何待他呢？哈曼心里说，王所喜悦尊荣的，不是我是谁呢？

   所以哈曼就进来。王问他说，王喜悦要荣耀的这人，要如何待他？哈曼心里思考，王喜悦要尊荣的，谁能超过我？

   哈曼就进去。王问他说：“王所喜悦尊荣的人，当如何待他呢？”哈曼心里说：“王所喜悦尊荣的，不是我是谁呢？”

   So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?

7. 7

   哈曼就回答王：王所喜悦尊荣的，

   然后哈曼就回答王，对王喜悦要尊荣的这人，

   哈曼就回答说：“王所喜悦尊荣的，

   And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour,

   应当将王常穿的朝服和戴冠的御马，

   要把王常穿的皇家服装，和王常骑的马，还有他头戴的皇冠带来；

   当将王常穿的朝服和戴冠的御马，

   Let the royal apparel be brought which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:

   都交给王极尊贵的一个大臣，命他将衣服给王所喜悦尊荣的人穿上，使他骑上马，走遍城里的街道，在他面前宣告说，王所喜悦尊荣的人，就如此待他。

   把服装和马都交在王极尊贵的一个王子手里，他们就可以装扮这个王喜悦要尊荣的人，并让他骑在马背上，又走遍城里的街道，还在他前面宣告，王喜悦要尊荣的人，就要这样对他做。

   都交给王极尊贵的一个大臣，命他将衣服给王所喜悦尊荣的人穿上，使他骑上马，走遍城里的街市，在他面前宣告说：王所喜悦尊荣的人，就如此待他。”

   And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour.

10. 10

    王对哈曼说，你马上将这衣服和马，照你所说的，向坐在王门的犹太人末底改去行。凡你所说的，一样不能缺。

    于是王对哈曼说，你赶快拿这服装和马，照你说的，对坐在王的大门口的犹太人摩迪凯这样做；你说的一切都不能缺。

    王对哈曼说：“你速速将这衣服和马，照你所说的，向坐在朝门的犹大人末底改去行。凡你所说的，一样不可缺。”

    Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.

11. 11

    于是哈曼将朝服给末底改穿上，使他骑上马，走遍城里的街道，在他面前宣告说，王所喜悦尊荣的人，就如此待他。

    于是哈曼拿上这服装和马，装扮了摩迪凯，并让他骑在马背上，又走遍城里的街道，还在他前面宣告，王喜悦要尊荣的人，就要这样对他做。

    于是哈曼将朝服给末底改穿上，使他骑上马，走遍城里的街市，在他面前宣告说：“王所喜悦尊荣的人，就如此待他。”

    Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour.

12. 12

    末底改仍回到王门，哈曼却忧忧闷闷地蒙着头，急忙回家去了，

    然后摩迪凯仍回到王的大门口。但哈曼赶快回家去哀悼，又蒙着头。

    And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.

13. 13

    将所遇的一切事详细说给他的妻细利斯和他的众朋友听。他的智慧人和他的妻细利斯对他说，你在末底改面前始而败落，他如果是犹太人的种子，你必不能胜他，终必在他面前败落。

    哈曼把落在他身上的每件事都详细说给他的妻子泽瑞示和他所有的朋友听。于是他的智慧人和他的妻子泽瑞示对他说，你已经开始在摩迪凯面前跌落了，他如果是犹太人的种子，你就不能胜过他，而且一定会在他面前跌落的。

    将所遇的一切事详细说给他的妻细利斯和他的众朋友听。他的智慧人和他的妻细利斯对他说：“你在末底改面前始而败落，他如果是犹大人，你必不能胜他，终必在他面前败落。”

    And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.

    And while they were yet talking with him, came the king's chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.
