   希西家王十四年，亚述王西拿基立上来攻击犹大的一切坚固城，将城攻取。

   这样发生了，在希泽基亚王十四年，阿叙利亚王森拿克瑞布上来攻击犹大的一切防卫城，并攻取了它们。

   Now it came to pass in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, that Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the defenced cities of Judah, and took them.

2. 2

   亚述王从拉吉差拉伯沙基率领大军往耶路撒冷，到希西家王那里去。他就站在上池的水沟旁，在漂布地的大路上。

   阿叙利亚王从拉基示派拉布沙基带着大军队去耶路撒冷，到希泽基亚王那里。他站在上池的水沟旁，在漂洗工田地的大道上。

   亚述王从拉吉差遣拉伯沙基率领大军往耶路撒冷，到希西家王那里去。他就站在上池的水沟旁，在漂布地的大路上。

   And the king of Assyria sent Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem unto king Hezekiah with a great army. And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller's field.

3. 3

   于是希勒家的儿子家宰以利雅敬，并书记舍伯那和亚萨的儿子史官约亚，出来见拉伯沙基。

   于是希基亚的儿子，管理这家的以利亚金，和抄写员示布拿并阿撒弗的儿子记录员约阿，出来见拉布沙基。

   于是希勒家的儿子家宰以利亚敬，并书记舍伯那和亚萨的儿子史官约亚，出来见拉伯沙基。

   Then came forth unto him Eliakim, Hilkiah's son, which was over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, Asaph's son, the recorder.

4. 4

   拉伯沙基对他们说，你们去告诉希西家说，亚述大王如此说，你所信靠的有什么可仗赖的呢？

   然后拉布沙基对他们说，你们现在去对希泽基亚说，伟大的王，阿叙利亚王这样说，你信靠的这个确信是什么？

   拉伯沙基对他们说：“你们去告诉希西家说，亚述大王如此说：‘你所倚靠的有什么可仗赖的呢？

   And Rabshakeh said unto them, Say ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?

   你说，有打仗的计谋和能力，我看不过是虚话。你到底信靠谁才背叛我呢？

   我说，你说（它们无非是些虚空的话语），我有战争的建议和强力；你现在到底信靠谁使你反叛我？

   你说，有打仗的计谋和能力，我看不过是虚话。你到底倚靠谁才背叛我呢？

   I say, sayest thou, (but they are but vain words) I have counsel and strength for war: now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?

6. 6

   看啊，你所信靠的埃及是那压伤的苇杖，人若靠它，就必刺透他的手。埃及王法老向一切信靠他的人也是这样。

   瞧，你信靠的这压伤的芦苇的杖，即，埃及，如果一个人靠着它，它就会进到他的手里，刺透它；埃及王法老对一切信靠他的人就是这样。

   看哪，你所倚靠的埃及是那压伤的苇杖，人若靠这杖，就必刺透他的手。埃及王法老向一切倚靠他的人也是这样。

   Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him.

7. 7

   你若对我说，我们信靠耶和华我们的神。希西家难道不是将神的高处和祭坛废去，并对犹大和耶路撒冷的人说，你们当在这坛前敬拜吗？

   但如果你对我说，我们信靠主我们的神；他的众高位置和他的众坛都被希泽基亚拿走了，难道不是他，又对犹大和对耶路撒冷说，你们要在这个坛前敬拜？

   你若对我说：我们倚靠耶和华我们的　神。希西家岂不是将　神的邱坛和祭坛废去，且对犹大和耶路撒冷的人说：你们当在这坛前敬拜吗？

   But if thou say to me, We trust in the LORD our God: is it not he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar?

8. 8

   现在我求你把抵押给我主亚述王，我给你二千匹马，看你这一面骑马的人够不够。

   现在我请求你把抵押给我的主人阿叙利亚王，我就会给你二千匹马，如果你这边还能安排出骑手来骑它们的话。

   现在你把当头给我主亚述王，我给你二千匹马，看你这一面骑马的人够不够。

   Now therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.

9. 9

   那么，你怎能打败我主众仆人中最小的军长呢？你竟信靠埃及的战车马兵吗？

   那么，你怎么能使我主人众仆人中最小的一个军长转脸离开，又把你的信靠放在埃及的战车和骑兵上呢？

   若不然，怎能打败我主臣仆中最小的军长呢？你竟倚靠埃及的战车马兵吗？

   How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master's servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

10. 10

    现在我上来攻击毁灭这地，难道没有耶和华的意思吗？耶和华吩咐我说，你上去攻击毁灭这地吧！

    现在我上来攻击毁灭这土地，难道主没有与我一起吗？主对我说，上去攻击这土地，并毁灭它。

    现在我上来攻击毁灭这地，岂没有耶和华的意思吗？耶和华吩咐我说，你上去攻击毁灭这地吧！’”

    And am I now come up without the LORD against this land to destroy it? the LORD said unto me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.

11. 11

    以利雅敬、舍伯那、约亚对拉伯沙基说，求你用叙利亚语和仆人们说话，因为我们懂得；不要用犹太言语和我们说话，达到墙上百姓的耳中。

    于是以利亚金，示布拿，约阿对拉布沙基说，我请求你，用叙利亚的语言对你的仆人们说，因我们明白它；不要在墙上人民的耳中用犹太人的语言对我们说。

    以利亚敬、舍伯那、约亚对拉伯沙基说：“求你用亚兰言语和仆人说话，因为我们懂得；不要用犹大言语和我们说话，达到城上百姓的耳中。”

    Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Joah unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, unto thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and speak not to us in the Jews' language, in the ears of the people that are on the wall.

12. 12

    拉伯沙基说，我主差我来，难道是单对你和你的主说这些话吗？不也是对这些坐在城上、要与你们一起吃自己粪喝自己尿的人说吗？

    但拉布沙基说，难道我的主人派我到你和你的主人来说这些话吗？他不就是派我到这些坐在城上的人们，使他们可以和你们一起吃自己的粪喝自己的尿吗？

    拉伯沙基说：“我主差遣我来，岂是单对你和你的主说这些话吗？不也是对这些坐在城上、要与你们一同吃自己粪喝自己尿的人说吗？”

    But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?

13. 13

    于是，拉伯沙基站着，用犹太言语大声喊着说，你们要听亚述大王的话。

    于是，拉布沙基站着，以犹太人的语言用一个响亮的声音呼喊说，你们要听伟大的王，阿叙利亚王的话语。

    于是，拉伯沙基站着，用犹大言语大声喊着说：“你们当听亚述大王的话。

    Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria.

14. 14

    王如此说，你们不要被希西家欺哄了，因他不能拯救你们。

    王这样说，你们不要让希泽基亚欺骗你们；因他没能力救你们。

    王如此说：‘你们不要被希西家欺哄了，因他不能拯救你们。

    Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you.

15. 15

    也不要听希西家使你们信靠耶和华说，耶和华必要拯救我们，这城必不交在亚述王的手中。

    也不要让希泽基亚使你们信靠主，说，主一定会拯救我们；这城不会被交在阿叙利亚王的手里。

    也不要听希西家使你们倚靠耶和华说：耶和华必要拯救我们，这城必不交在亚述王的手中。

    Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us: this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

16. 16

    不要听希西家的话，因亚述王如此说，你们要与我和好。出来投降我，各人就可以吃自己葡萄树和无花果树的果子，喝自己池里的水。

    不要听取希泽基亚；因阿叙利亚王这样说，你们要用礼品和我定一个协议，又出来到我这里；你们各人就可以吃自己的葡萄藤和自己的无花果树出的，并且你们每个人喝他自己的蓄水池里的众水；

    不要听希西家的话，因亚述王如此说：你们要与我和好。出来投降我，各人就可以吃自己葡萄树和无花果树的果子，喝自己井里的水。

    Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me: and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his own cistern;

17. 17

    直到我来领你们到一个地方，与你们本地一样，就是有谷物和酒之地，有饼和葡萄园之地。

    直到我来带你们到一块土地，与你们自己的土地一样，就是一块有谷物和酒的土地，一块有饼和葡萄园的土地。

    等我来领你们到一个地方，与你们本地一样，就是有五谷和新酒之地，有粮食和葡萄园之地。

    Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards.

18. 18

    你们要谨防，恐怕希西家劝导你们说，耶和华必拯救我们。列国的众神有哪一个救他本国脱离亚述王的手呢？

    要小心，以免希泽基亚劝你们，说，主要拯救我们。各国的众神有哪一个拯救他的土地脱离阿叙利亚王的手？

    你们要谨防，恐怕希西家劝导你们说：耶和华必拯救我们。列国的神有哪一个救他本国脱离亚述王的手呢？

    Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, the LORD will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

19. 19

    哈马和亚珥拔的众神在哪里呢？西法瓦音的众神在哪里呢？他们曾救撒玛利亚脱离我的手吗？

    哈马斯和阿帕得的众神在哪里？塞法卫姆的众神在哪里？他们拯救撒玛利亚脱离了我的手吗？

    哈马和亚珥拔的神在哪里呢？西法瓦音的神在哪里呢？他们曾救撒玛利亚脱离我的手吗？

    Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?

20. 20

    这些地的众神有谁曾救他们的地脱离我的手呢？难道耶和华能救耶路撒冷脱离我的手吗？

    这些土地的众神当中有谁拯救过他们的土地脱离我的手，难道主会拯救耶路撒冷脱离我的手？

    这些国的神有谁曾救自己的国脱离我的手呢？难道耶和华能救耶路撒冷脱离我的手吗？’”

    Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?

21. 21

    百姓静默不言，并不回答一句，因为王曾吩咐说，不要回答他。

    但是他们没有出声，并且一句话都没有回答他；因为王的诫命是说，不要回答他。

    百姓静默不言，并不回答一句，因为王曾吩咐说：“不要回答他。”

    But they held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king's commandment was, saying, Answer him not.

22. 22

    这时希勒家的儿子家宰以利雅敬和书记舍伯那，并亚萨的儿子史官约亚，都撕裂衣服，来到希西家那里，将拉伯沙基的话告诉了他。

    于是希基亚的儿子，管理这家的以利亚金，和抄写员示布拿，并阿撒弗的儿子记录员约阿，都撕裂了他们的衣服，来到希泽基亚那里，并把拉布沙基的话语告诉了他。

    当下希勒家的儿子家宰以利亚敬和书记舍伯那，并亚萨的儿子史官约亚，都撕裂衣服，来到希西家那里，将拉伯沙基的话告诉了他。

    Then came Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, that was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.
