先知耶利米从耶路撒冷寄信与被掳的众祭司、众先知，和众民，并剩余的长老，就是尼布甲尼撒从耶路撒冷掳到巴比伦去的。
这些话语是预言者耶瑞米亚从耶路撒冷寄来的信上的，给被掳后众长者的残余，并给众祭司，又给众预言者，也给所有人民，就是尼布卡得尼扎从耶路撒冷掳到巴比伦去的人；
先知耶利米从耶路撒冷寄信与被掳的祭司、先知，和众民，并生存的长老，就是尼布甲尼撒从耶路撒冷掳到巴比伦去的。（
Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;

(After that Jeconiah the king, and the queen, and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the carpenters, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem;)

他借沙番的儿子以利亚萨和希勒家的儿子基玛利的手寄去。他们二人是犹大王西底家派往巴比伦去见尼布甲尼撒王的。
借着沙凡的儿子埃拉撒和希基亚的儿子加马瑞亚的手，（他们是犹大王泽迪基亚派到巴比伦去见巴比伦王尼布卡得尼扎的。）说，
他藉沙番的儿子以利亚萨和希勒家的儿子基玛利的手寄去。他们二人是犹大王西底家打发往巴比伦去见尼布甲尼撒王的。
By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent unto Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon) saying,

信上说，万军之耶和华以色列的神对一切被掳去的，就是我使他们从耶路撒冷被掳到巴比伦的人如此说，
众军之主以色列的神对所有被掳去的，就是我使他们从耶路撒冷被掳到巴比伦的人这样说；
信上说：“万军之耶和华以色列的　神对一切被掳去的（就是我使他们从耶路撒冷被掳到巴比伦的人）如此说：
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;

你们要盖造房屋，住在其中；栽种园子，吃其中所产的；
你们要建造房子，并住在它们里面；又栽种园子，吃它们的果子；
你们要盖造房屋，住在其中；栽种田园，吃其中所产的；
Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;

娶妻生儿女，为你们的儿子娶妻，使你们的女儿嫁人，生儿生女。在那里生养众多，不致减少。
你们娶妻子，生育众儿子和女儿；并为你们的众儿子娶妻子，又把你们的女儿们给丈夫们，使他们可以生众儿子和众女儿；这样你们就可以在那里增多，不会减少。
娶妻生儿女，为你们的儿子娶妻，使你们的女儿嫁人，生儿养女。在那里生养众多，不致减少。
Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.

我所使你们被掳到的那城，你们要为那城求平安，为那城祷告耶和华；因为那城得平安，你们也随着得平安。
我使你们被掳到的那城，要为那城寻求和平，并为它向主请求；因为它在和平里，你们在其中也会有和平。
我所使你们被掳到的那城，你们要为那城求平安，为那城祷告耶和华；因为那城得平安，你们也随着得平安。
And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说，不要被你们中间的众先知和占卜的欺骗，也不要听信自己所做的梦；
因为众军之主以色列的神这样说；不要让在你们当中的众预言者和众预测者欺骗你们，也不要听取你们的梦就是使你们去做的梦；
万军之耶和华以色列的　神如此说：不要被你们中间的先知和占卜的诱惑，也不要听信自己所做的梦；
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.

因为他们托我的名对你们说假预言，我并没有差他们。这是耶和华说的。
因他们在我的名里对你们说假预言；我并没有派他们，这是主说的。
因为他们托我的名对你们说假预言，我并没有差遣他们。这是耶和华说的。
For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD.

耶和华如此说，为巴比伦所定的七十年满了以后，我要眷顾你们，向你们成就我的恩言，使你们仍回此地。
因主这样说，为巴比伦定的七十年完成了以后，我要造访你们，并向你们履行我的好话，使你们返回这个地方。
“耶和华如此说：为巴比伦所定的七十年满了以后，我要眷顾你们，向你们成就我的恩言，使你们仍回此地。
For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

耶和华说，我知道我向你们所怀的意念是平安的意念，不是降灾祸的意念，要叫你们后来有指望。
主说，因我知道我向你们怀的思想是和平的思想，不是坏的，为要给你们一个期盼的结局。
耶和华说：我知道我向你们所怀的意念是赐平安的意念，不是降灾祸的意念，要叫你们末后有指望。
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

你们要呼求我，祷告我，我就应允你们。
那时你们会呼叫我，并且你们会去请求我，我也要听取你们。
你们要呼求我，祷告我，我就应允你们。
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13
你们寻求我，若全心寻求我，就必寻见。
你们会寻求我，当你们用你们的全心搜索我的时候，就会找到我。
你们寻求我，若专心寻求我，就必寻见。
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
14
耶和华说，我必被你们寻见，我也必使你们被掳的人回去，将你们从各国中和我所赶你们到的各处招聚了来，又将你们带回我使你们被掳掠离开的地方。这是耶和华说的。
主说，我要被你们找到；我也要使你们被掳的人转回，我要从所有国家中和我赶你们到的各个地方聚集你们，又要再次带你们回到我使你们被掳离开的地方，这是主说的。
耶和华说：我必被你们寻见，我也必使你们被掳的人归回，将你们从各国中和我所赶你们到的各处招聚了来，又将你们带回我使你们被掳掠离开的地方。这是耶和华说的。
And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

因为你们说，耶和华在巴比伦为我们兴起众先知；
因为你们说，主在巴比伦里为我们兴起众预言者；
“你们说：‘耶和华在巴比伦为我们兴起先知’；
Because ye have said, The LORD hath raised us up prophets in Babylon;
16
所以耶和华说到坐大卫宝座的王和住在这城里的一切百姓，就是没有与你们一起被掳的弟兄，
主这样说到坐大卫王座的王，和住在这城里的所有人民，就是没有与你们一起被掳的你们的弟兄们；
所以耶和华论到坐大卫宝座的王和住在这城里的一切百姓，就是未曾与你们一同被掳的弟兄，
Know that thus saith the LORD of the king that sitteth upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwelleth in this city, and of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity;

万军之耶和华如此说，看啊，我必使刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫临到他们，使他们像极坏的无花果，坏得不能吃。
众军之主这样说；看啊，我要派剑，饥荒，瘟疫到他们身上，又要使他们像极坏的无花果，坏得不能吃。
万军之耶和华如此说：‘看哪，我必使刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫临到他们，使他们像极坏的无花果，坏得不可吃。
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.

我必用刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫追赶他们，使他们被抛到地上万国中，在我所赶他们到的各国中，令人咒诅、惊骇、嗤笑、羞辱。
我要用剑，并用饥荒，又用瘟疫迫害他们，还要把他们移到这地的所有王国去，他们要在我赶他们去到的所有的国家当中，成为一个咒诅，一个惊讶，一个嘶笑，一个耻辱；
我必用刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫追赶他们，使他们在天下万国抛来抛去，在我所赶他们到的各国中，令人咒诅、惊骇、嗤笑、羞辱。
And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them:

耶和华说，这是因为他们没有听从我的话，就是我从早起来差我仆人众先知去说的，但你们不听。这是耶和华说的。
主说，因为他们没有听取我的话语，就是我借着我的众仆人众预言者，清早起来就派给他们的；你们却不愿意听，这是主说的。
耶和华说：这是因为他们没有听从我的话，就是我从早起来差遣我仆人众先知去说的，无奈他们不听。这是耶和华说的。
Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD.

所以你们一切被掳去的，就是我从耶路撒冷派到巴比伦去的，要听耶和华的话。
因此你们要听主的话，就是你们所有被掳走的，就是我从耶路撒冷派到巴比伦去的人。
所以你们一切被掳去的，就是我从耶路撒冷打发到巴比伦去的，当听耶和华的话。’”
Hear ye therefore the word of the LORD, all ye of the captivity, whom I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon:

万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说到哥赖雅的儿子亚哈，并玛西雅的儿子西底家：他们是托我名向你们说假预言的。看啊，我必将他们交在巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的手中；他要在你们眼前杀害他们。
众军之主以色列的神这样说到科莱亚的儿子阿哈布，和马西亚的儿子泽迪基亚；他们在我的名里向你们预言了一个谎言；看啊，我要把他们交在巴比伦王尼布卡得尼扎的手里；他会在你们的眼前杀了他们；
万军之耶和华以色列的　神论到哥赖雅的儿子亚哈，并玛西雅的儿子西底家，如此说：“他们是托我名向你们说假预言的，我必将他们交在巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的手中；他要在你们眼前杀害他们。
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes;

住巴比伦一切被掳的犹大人必借这二人赌咒说，愿耶和华使你像巴比伦王在火中烧的西底家和亚哈一样。
巴比伦里所有被掳的犹大人都会借他们咒诅，说，主使你像巴比伦王在火里烤的泽迪基亚和阿哈布一样。
住巴比伦一切被掳的犹大人必藉这二人赌咒说：‘愿耶和华使你像巴比伦王在火中烧的西底家和亚哈一样。’
And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;

这二人是在以色列中行了恶事，与邻居的妻行淫，又假托我名说我没有吩咐他们的话。知道的是我，作见证的也是我。这是耶和华说的。
因为他们在以色列里犯了愚蠢事，并与邻居的妻子犯奸淫，又在我的名里说我没有命令他们的谎言；我知道，并且是一个见证，这是主说的。
这二人是在以色列中行了丑事，与邻舍的妻行淫，又假托我名说我未曾吩咐他们的话。知道的是我，作见证的也是我。这是耶和华说的。”
Because they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours' wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, saith the LORD.

说到尼希兰人示玛雅，你当说，
你也要对尼海兰人闪迈亚这样讲，说，
“论到尼希兰人示玛雅，你当说，
Thus shalt thou also speak to Shemaiah the Nehelamite, saying,
25
万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说，你曾用自己的名寄信给耶路撒冷的众民和祭司玛西雅的儿子西番雅，并众祭司，说，
众军之主以色列的神这样讲，说，因为你曾在你的名里寄信给耶路撒冷的所有人民和祭司马西亚的儿子泽法尼亚，并所有祭司，说，
万军之耶和华以色列的　神如此说：你曾用自己的名寄信给耶路撒冷的众民和祭司玛西雅的儿子西番雅，并众祭司，说：
Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Because thou hast sent letters in thy name unto all the people that are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying,

耶和华已经立你西番雅为祭司，代替祭司耶何耶大，使耶和华家中有官长，好将一切狂妄自称为先知的人用枷枷住，用锁锁住。
主已经使你作祭司，代替祭司耶和亚达，你们会成为主家里的官长，每个狂妄的人，自称为预言者的，你都要把他放进监狱里，和木桩里。
‘耶和华已经立你西番雅为祭司，代替祭司耶何耶大，使耶和华殿中有官长，好将一切狂妄自称为先知的人用枷枷住，用锁锁住。
The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the LORD, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in prison, and in the stocks.

现在亚拿突人耶利米向你们自称为先知，你们为什么没有责备他呢？
因此，阿拿图特人耶瑞米亚向你们自称为预言者，你们为什么没有责备他？
现在亚拿突人耶利米向你们自称为先知，你们为何没有责备他呢？
Now therefore why hast thou not reproved Jeremiah of Anathoth, which maketh himself a prophet to you?

因为他寄信给我们在巴比伦的人说，被掳的事必长久。你们要盖造房屋，住在其中；栽种园子，吃其中所产的。
因为他寄信给我们在巴比伦里的人说，被掳的事会长久；你们要建造房子，住在它们里面；并栽种园子，吃它们的果子。
因为他寄信给我们在巴比伦的人说：被掳的事必长久。你们要盖造房屋，住在其中；栽种田园，吃其中所产的。’”
For therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity is long: build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

祭司西番雅就把这信念给先知耶利米听。
祭司泽法尼亚就在预言者耶瑞米亚的耳中读这信。

And Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet.

于是耶和华的话临到耶利米说，
于是主的话来到耶瑞米亚那里说，

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,

你当寄信给一切被掳的人说，耶和华如此说到尼希兰人示玛雅，因为示玛雅向你们说预言，我并没有差他，他使你们信靠谎言；
寄信给所有被掳的人说，主这样说到尼海兰人闪迈亚；因为闪迈亚向你们说预言，我并没有派他，他使你们信靠了一个谎言；
“你当寄信给一切被掳的人说：‘耶和华论到尼希兰人示玛雅说：因为示玛雅向你们说预言，我并没有差遣他，他使你们倚靠谎言；
Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in a lie:
32
所以耶和华如此说，看啊，我必刑罚尼希兰人示玛雅和他的种子，他必无一人存留住在这民中，也不见我所要给我百姓的好处，因为他向耶和华说了叛逆的话。这是耶和华说的。
因此主这样说；看啊，我要惩罚尼海兰人闪迈亚和他的种子；他不会有一个人住在这人民当中；也不会看见我要为我人民做的好事，这是主说的；因为他教导反叛抵挡了主。
所以耶和华如此说：我必刑罚尼希兰人示玛雅和他的后裔，他必无一人存留住在这民中，也不得见我所要赐与我百姓的福乐，因为他向耶和华说了叛逆的话。这是耶和华说的。’”
Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD.
