那时，耶和华从旋风中回答约伯说，
于是，主从旋风中回答约伯，说，
那时，耶和华从旋风中回答约伯说：
Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

这用无知的言语使我的旨意暗昧不明的是谁呢？
用无知识的话语使建议变暗的，这是谁？
“谁用无知的言语使我的旨意暗昧不明？
Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

你要如勇士束腰。我问你，你可以回答我。
像个男人束好你的腰；因我询问你，你要回答我。
你要如勇士束腰；我问你，你可以指示我。
Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

我立地根基的时候，你在哪里呢？你若有聪明，就说吧。
当我奠定这地根基的时候，你在哪里？如果你有悟性，就表明吧。
“我立大地根基的时候，你在哪里呢？你若有聪明，只管说吧！
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

你若晓得就说，是谁定地的尺度？是谁把准绳拉在其上？
如果你知道就说，是谁制定其尺寸？或者是谁把测量线拉在它上面？
你若晓得就说，是谁定地的尺度？是谁把准绳拉在其上？
Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

地的根基安置在哪里？地的角石是谁安放的？
其根基固定在哪里？或者其转角石是谁放置的？
地的根基安置在何处？地的角石是谁安放的？
Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

那时，晨星一起歌唱，神的众子也都欢呼。
那时，众晨星一起歌唱，并且神所有的儿子都欢呼。
那时，晨星一同歌唱； 神的众子也都欢呼。
When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

海水冲出，如出子宫，那时谁用门将海关闭呢？
或者，当海水迸发出来，就像它从子宫喷出来的时候，谁用众门把海关起来？
“海水冲出，如出胎胞，那时谁将它关闭呢？
Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?

是我用云当海的衣服，用厚重的黑暗当它的襁褓布，
当我造了云作为其服装，又用厚重的黑暗作它的襁褓布，
是我用云彩当海的衣服，用幽暗当包裹它的布，
When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,

为它定界限，又安门和闩，
并为它分割出我命定的地方，又设置众栏杆和门，
为它定界限，又安门和闩，
And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,

说，你只可到这里，不能越过；你狂傲的浪要到此止住。
又说，你要来到这里，但不能越过；你狂傲的浪要停留在这里？
说：‘你只可到这里，不可越过；你狂傲的浪要到此止住。’
And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?

你自生以来，曾命定早晨，使清晨的日光知道其本位，
自从你的日子以来，你命令过早晨；又使拂晓知道他的位置；
“你自生以来，曾命定晨光，使清晨的日光知道本位，
Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;

叫它普照地的尽头，将恶从其中抖出来吗？
使它抓住这地的各尽头，把邪恶者从其中抖出来？
叫这光普照地的四极，将恶人从其中驱逐出来吗？
That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?

它被转变，如泥成为图章，它们出现如衣服一样。
它转动就就像粘土对印章那样；它们就像一件衣服站着。
因这光，地面改变如泥上印印，万物出现如衣服一样。
It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.

为恶的，他们的光被收回；高傲的膀臂必被折断。
光从邪恶者那里被扣留，并且高傲的膀臂会被打破。
亮光不照恶人；强横的膀臂也必折断。
And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken.

“你曾进到海源，或在深渊的隐密处行走吗？
Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?

死亡的众门曾向你打开吗？死荫的众门你曾见过吗？
死亡的众大门向你打开过？或者，死之阴影的众门你见过？
死亡的门曾向你显露吗？死荫的门你曾见过吗？
Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?

地的广大你能明白吗？你若全知道，只管说吧。
这地的宽度你意识到了？如果你全知道，就表明吧。
地的广大你能明透吗？你若全知道，只管说吧！
Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.

光居住之处的路在哪里？对于黑暗，其本位在哪里？
光居住的那道路在哪里？对于黑暗，它的地方在哪里，
“光明的居所从何而至？黑暗的本位在于何处？
Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,

你能带它到其境界，能知道其家的路吗？
从而你能把它带到其界，使你知道去它家的路径？
你能带到本境，能看明其室之路吗？
That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?

你知道这些，因为你早已生在世上？还是因为你日子的数目很多？
你知道它，因为那时你被生了？或者因为你日子的数目很大？
你总知道，因为你早已生在世上，你日子的数目也多。
Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great?

你曾进入雪库，或见过雹库吗？
你进入过雪的宝库，或者你见过冰雹的宝库，
“你曾进入雪库，或见过雹仓吗？
Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,

这是我为降灾，并打仗和争战的日子所预备的。
就是我针对困苦的时候，针对打仗和争战的那天储存的吗？
这雪雹乃是我为降灾，并打仗和争战的日子所预备的。
Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

光以什么方法被分开？什么将东风分散在遍地上？

光亮从何路分开？东风从何路分散遍地？
By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?

谁为溢出的众水分河道？谁为雷电开路？
谁为众水溢流分开了一条河道，谁为雷鸣电闪分开了一条路；
“谁为雨水分道？谁为雷电开路？
Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;

使雨降在无人之地、无人居住的旷野？
使雨降在这地上，那里没有人；降在荒野上，没有人在其中；
使雨降在无人之地、无人居住的旷野？
To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;

使荒废凄凉之地得以丰足，嫩草得以发芽生长？
为要让荒废和荒凉的地面满足；又让嫩药草涌现出来？
使荒废凄凉之地得以丰足，青草得以发生？
To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?

雨有父吗？露水珠是谁生的呢？
雨有一个父亲吗？或者露水滴是谁生育的？
雨有父吗？露水珠是谁生的呢？
Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?

冰出于谁的子宫？天上的冰霜是谁生的呢？
冰出于谁的子宫？天上的白霜，谁给了它性别？
冰出于谁的胎？天上的霜是谁生的呢？
Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?

众水隐藏如石头，深渊的面被冻结。
众水隐藏就像一块石头，深处的脸是冻结的。

The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.

Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?

Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?

Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?

你能向云扬起声来，使丰富的众水遮盖你吗？
你能向云提高你的声音，使充足的众水遮盖你？
“你能向云彩扬起声来，使倾盆的雨遮盖你吗？
Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?

你能差闪电，使它们发出，对你说，我们在这里？
你能派闪电，使它们发出，并且对你说，我们在这里？
你能发出闪电，叫它行去，使它对你说：‘我们在这里’？
Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go and say unto thee, Here we are?

谁把智慧放入内在部分？或者谁把悟性给到心里？
谁将智慧放在怀中？谁将聪明赐于心内？
Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?

谁能用智慧数算云呢？谁能倾倒天上的瓶呢？
谁能以智慧数算云？或者谁能定住天的众瓶，
谁能用智慧数算云彩呢？尘土聚集成团，土块紧紧结连；那时，谁能倾倒天上的瓶呢？
Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,

那时，尘土聚集成团，土块紧紧结连。
当尘土变得坚硬，土块紧紧连接在一起的时候？
When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?

你能为狮子抓取食物？使少壮狮子饱足吗？
你能为狮子抓猎物？或者，当少壮狮子在他们的洞里蹲伏，
“母狮子在洞中蹲伏，少壮狮子在隐密处埋伏；你能为它们抓取食物，使它们饱足吗？
Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,

那时，它们在它们的洞中蹲伏，在隐密处埋伏。
并留在隐密处埋伏时，你能满足他们的食欲？
When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?

乌鸦之雏因无食物飞来飞去，哀告神；那时，谁为它预备食物呢？
当乌鸦的幼雏向神哭喊时，那时他们因缺少食物而徘徊，谁为乌鸦提供他的吃的？
乌鸦之雏因无食物飞来飞去，哀告 神；那时，谁为它预备食物呢？”
Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.
