有一个法利赛人，名叫尼哥底母，是犹太人的官。
有一个法利赛人，名叫尼科迪姆斯，是犹太人的一个管理者；
有一个法利赛人，名叫尼哥底母，是犹太人的官。
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

这人夜里来见耶稣，说，拉比，我们知道你是从神那里来作教师的；因为你所行的神迹，若没有神同在，无人能行。
他夜晚来到耶稣那里，对他说，拉比，我们知道你是从神来的一个教师；因没有人能做你做的这些神迹，除非神与他在一起。
这人夜里来见耶稣，说：“拉比，我们知道你是由神那里来作师傅的；因为你所行的神迹，若没有 神同在，无人能行。”
The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

耶稣回答他说，我实实在在地对你说，人若不重生，就不能见神的国。
耶稣回答他说，我实实在在地对你说，除非一个人再次被生产，否则他不能看见神的王国。
耶稣回答说：“我实实在在地告诉你，人若不重生，就不能见 神的国。”
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

尼哥底母对他说，人已经老了，怎能再出生呢？难道能第二次进到他母亲的子宫里被生出来吗？
尼科迪姆斯对他说，当人老了，怎么能再被生产？他能第二次进到他母亲的子宫里，然后被生产？
尼哥底母说：“人已经老了，如何能重生呢？岂能再进母腹生出来吗？”
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

耶稣回答：我实实在在地对你说，人若不是从水和圣灵生的，就不能进神的国。
耶稣回答，我实实在在地对你说，除非一个人出于水和出于灵被生产，否则他不能进入神的王国。
耶稣说：“我实实在在地告诉你，人若不是从水和圣灵生的，就不能进 神的国。
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

从肉身生的就是肉身；从灵生的就是灵。
那出于肉体被生产的就是肉体；那出于灵被生产的就是灵。
从肉身生的就是肉身；从灵生的就是灵。
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

我对你说，你们必须重生。不要感到惊讶。
我对你说，你们必须再次被生产，不要感到奇怪。
我说：‘你们必须重生’，你不要以为希奇。
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

风随着它的意愿吹，你听见风的声音，却不知道它从哪里来，往哪里去；凡从灵生的，也是如此。
风吹到它愿意的地方，你听见其响声，但无法说它从哪里来，往哪里去；每一个出于灵被生产的也是这样。
风随着意思吹，你听见风的响声，却不晓得从哪里来，往哪里去；凡从圣灵生的，也是如此。”
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

尼哥底母回答他说，怎能有这些事呢？
尼科迪姆斯回答他说，怎么能有这些事情？
尼哥底母问他说：“怎能有这事呢？”
Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

耶稣回答他说，你是以色列人的师傅，还不知道这些事吗？
耶稣回答他说，你是以色列的一个师傅，还不知道这些事情？
耶稣回答说：“你是以色列人的先生，还不明白这事吗？
Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

我实实在在地对你说，我们所说的是我们知道的；我们所见证的是我们见过的；你们却不接受我们的见证。
我实实在在地对你说，我们讲我们知道的，并证明我们已经看见的；你们不接受我们的见证。
我实实在在地告诉你，我们所说的是我们知道的；我们所见证的是我们见过的；你们却不领受我们的见证。
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

我对你们说这些地上的事，你们尚且不相信，若说那些天上的事，如何能相信呢？
如果我对你们说属地的事情，你们都不相信，那么如果我对你们说属天的事，你们怎么会相信？
我对你们说地上的事，你们尚且不信，若说天上的事，如何能信呢？
If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

除了从天降下仍旧在天的人子，没有人升过天。
没有人升到过天上，除了那从天上下来的，就是那在天里的人的儿子。
除了从天降下、仍旧在天的人子，没有人升过天。
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

摩西在旷野怎样举蛇，人子也必照样被举起来，
摩西怎样在荒野里举起蛇，人的儿子也必须怎样被举起；
摩西在旷野怎样举蛇，人子也必照样被举起来，
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

叫一切信他的，不至灭亡，反得永生。
使那相信他的，无论谁都不会灭亡，而是有永恒的生命。
叫一切信他的都得永生（或译：叫一切信的人在他里面得永生）。
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
- 16
因为神爱世界，甚至将他的独生子给他们，叫一切信他的，不至灭亡，反得永生。
因神如此爱世界，从而他给了他单独生育的儿子，使那相信他的，无论谁都不会灭亡，而且有永远的生命。
“ 神爱世人，甚至将他的独生子赐给他们，叫一切信他的，不至灭亡，反得永生。
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

因为神差他的儿子进入世界，不是要定世界的罪，而是要叫世界因他得救。
因神没有派他的儿子进入世界去刑罚这世界；而是让这世界通过他可以被拯救。
因为 神差他的儿子降世，不是要定世人的罪（或译：审判世人；下同），乃是要叫世人因他得救。
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

信他的人，不被定罪；不信的人，罪已经定了，因为他不信神独生子的名。
信靠他的人不会被刑罚；但不信的人已经被刑罚了，因为他不相信神单独生育的儿子的名。
信他的人，不被定罪；不信的人，罪已经定了，因为他不信 神独生子的名。
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

光进入世界，人因他们的行为是罪恶的，不爱光，倒爱黑暗，定他们的罪就是在此。
光到来进入世界，而人们宁愿爱黑暗也不愿爱光，因为他们的行为是坏的，这个就是那刑罚。
光来到世间，世人因自己的行为是恶的，不爱光，倒爱黑暗，定他们的罪就是在此。
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

凡作恶的便恨光，并不来就光，恐怕他的行为受责备。
因每一个做坏事的人都恨这光，也不来到光那里，以免他的行为被责备。
凡作恶的便恨光，并不来就光，恐怕他的行为受责备。
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

但行真理的必来就光，要显明他的行为是在神里行的。
但做真理的人就来到光那里，使他的行为可以被彰显，即它们是在神里面行的。
但行真理的必来就光，要显明他所行的是靠 神而行。”
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

这些事以后，耶稣和他的门徒们到了犹太地，他在那里和他们一起住，施浸。
这些事情以后，耶稣和他的门徒们来到犹迪亚的土地；他就在那里和他们一起等候，并施浸。
这事以后，耶稣和门徒到了犹太地，在那里居住，施洗。
After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

约翰在靠近撒冷的哀嫩也施浸；因为那里水多，众人都去受浸。
并且约翰也在靠近撒林的埃以嫩施浸，因为那里有很多水；他们就来，并被施浸。
约翰在靠近撒冷的哀嫩也施洗；因为那里水多，众人都去受洗。（
And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

那时约翰还没有被扔进监狱里。
因约翰还没有被扔进监狱里。
那时约翰还没有下在监里。）
For John was not yet cast into prison.

约翰有些门徒和犹太人辩论洁净的礼，
那时约翰的有些门徒和犹太人之间有了纯化方面的问题。

Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying.

他们来见约翰，对他说，拉比，之前和你一起在约旦河外、你所见证的那位，看啊，现在施浸，众人都往他那里去了。
他们就来到约翰那里，对他说，拉比，那超越约旦和你在一起的人，就是你对他作过见证的，看啊，他也施浸，并且所有人都来到他那里。
就来见约翰，说：“拉比，从前同你在约旦河外、你所见证的那位，现在施洗，众人都往他那里去了。”
And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

约翰回答说，若不是从天上给他的，一个人就不能接受什么。
约翰回答说，除非是从天上给他的，否则一个人就不能接受什么。
约翰说：“若不是从天上赐的，人就不能得什么。
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
- 28
你们自己可以给我作见证，我曾说，我不是基督，是奉差在他前面的。
你们自己给我作见证，我说过，我不是那受膏者，而是被派在他前面的。
我曾说：‘我不是基督，是奉差遣在他前面的’，你们自己可以给我作见证。
Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

娶新娘的就是新郎；新郎的朋友站着，因听见新郎的声音就很喜乐。因此，我这喜乐满足了。
拥有新娘的人是新郎；但新郎的朋友，就是站着听他的，因为新郎的声音就非常喜乐；因此，我的这个喜乐应验了。
娶新妇的就是新郎；新郎的朋友站着，听见新郎的声音就甚喜乐。故此，我这喜乐满足了。
He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

他必增长，我必减少。
他必须增长，但我必须减少。
他必兴旺，我必衰微。”
He must increase, but I must decrease.
- 31
从天上来的是在万有之上的；从地上来的是属地的，他所说的也是属地的。从天上来的是在万有之上的。
那来自上面的，他是在一切之上的；那出于这地的，他是属地的，说话也出于这地；那来自天上的，他是在一切之上的。
“从天上来的是在万有之上；从地上来的是属乎地，他所说的也是属乎地。从天上来的是在万有之上。
He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

他将所见所闻的见证出来，只是没有人接受他的见证。
他所看见和听见的，他就证明；并且没有人接受他的见证。
他将所见所闻的见证出来，只是没有人领受他的见证。
And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

那接受他见证的，就印上他的印，证明神是真实的。
那接受了他见证的人，他已经把神是真实的设立为他的印了。
那领受他见证的，就印上印，证明 神是真的。
He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

神所差来的就说神的话语，因为神给他灵是没有限量的。
因神派来的人就说神的话语；因神不是按着计量把灵给他。
神所差来的就说 神的话，因为 神赐圣灵给他是没有限量的。
For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

父爱子，已将万有交在他手里。
父亲爱儿子，并且已经把一切事物都给到他手里了。
父爱子，已将万有交在他手里。
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
- 36
信子的人有永生，不信子的人必不见生命，神的震怒却住在他身上。
那信靠儿子的人就有永远的生命；那不信儿子的人就不会看到生命；却有神的怒火留在他身上。
信子的人有永生；不信子的人得不着永生（原文是不得见永生）， 神的震怒常在他身上。”
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
