那时，耶稣对众人和他的门徒们讲论，

Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,

说，文士和法利赛人坐在摩西的位上，
说，众抄写员和法利赛人坐在摩西的座位里；
说：“文士和法利赛人坐在摩西的位上，
Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
- 3
凡他们所吩咐你们谨守的，你们都要谨守遵行；但不要效法他们的行为；因为他们能说，不能行。
因此他们吩咐你们遵守的一切，无论什么，都要去遵行；但你们不要跟从他们的工作；因他们只说，不做。
凡他们所吩咐你们的，你们都要谨守遵行。但不要效法他们的行为；因为他们能说，不能行。
All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

他们把难担的重担捆起来，搁在人的肩上，但自己一个指头也不愿意动。
因他们把重的担子和极重的负担捆起来，并放在人们的肩上；但他们自己一个指头也不会动它们。

For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

但他们一切所作的事都是要叫人看见，所以将佩戴的经匣作宽了，外袍的穗子作长了，
而且他们的一切工作是为了做给人们看的；他们把他们的经匣做宽了，又把服装外袍的穗子边加大了，
他们一切所做的事都是要叫人看见，所以将佩戴的经文做宽了，衣裳的繸子做长了，
But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,

喜爱宴席上的高位，会堂里的首位，
并且爱宴席上的高位置，和会堂里的主要位置，
喜爱筵席上的首座，会堂里的高位，
And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
- 7
又喜爱人在街市上问他安，称呼他拉比、拉比。
并市场上的问候，还有被人叫拉比，拉比。
又喜爱人在街市上问他安，称呼他拉比（拉比就是夫子）。
And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
- 8
但你们不要受拉比的称呼，因为只有一位是你们的师傅，就是基督；你们都是弟兄。
但你们不要被叫作拉比；因有一位是你们的师傅，就是受膏者；并且你们全部是弟兄。
但你们不要受拉比的称呼，因为只有一位是你们的夫子；你们都是弟兄。
But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

也不要称呼地上的人为你们的父，因为只有一位是你们的父，就是在天上的。
也不要把这地上的任何人叫作你们的父亲；因有一位是你们的父亲，就是在天里的。
也不要称呼地上的人为父，因为只有一位是你们的父，就是在天上的父。
And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

也不要受师傅的称呼，因为只有一位是你们的师傅，就是基督。
你们也不要被叫作师傅；因有一位是你们的师傅，就是受膏者。
也不要受师尊的称呼，因为只有一位是你们的师尊，就是基督。
Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

你们中间谁为大，谁就要作服侍你们的。
但在你们当中谁是最大的，谁就要作你们的仆人。
你们中间谁为大，谁就要作你们的用人。
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
- 12
凡自高的，必降为卑；谦卑自己的，必被升高。
无论谁要升高他自己，就会被降卑；谦卑他自己的人，就会被升高。
凡自高的，必降为卑；自卑的，必升为高。
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

你们这假冒伪善的文士和法利赛人有祸了，因为你们在人前，把天国的门关了，自己不进去，要进去的人，你们也不让他们进去。
但你们有祸了，众抄写员和法利赛人，伪善者！因你们针对人们把天上的王国关闭了；因你们自己不进去，他们也不容许那些要进去的人进去。
“你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们正当人前，把天国的门关了，自己不进去，正要进去的人，你们也不容他们进去。（有古卷加：14你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们侵吞寡妇的家产，假意做很长的祷告，所以要受更重的刑罚。）
But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

你们这假冒伪善的文士和法利赛人有祸了，因为你们侵吞寡妇的家产，假意作很长的祷告，所以要受更重的刑罚。
你们有祸了，众抄写员和法利赛人，伪善者！因你们吞了寡妇们的房子，又假装作长长的祷告；因此你们会接受更大的刑罚。
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

你们这假冒伪善的文士和法利赛人有祸了，因为你们走遍洋海陆地，使一个人入教，当他入了教，却使他作地狱的孩子，比你们还加倍。
你们有祸了，众抄写员和法利赛人，伪善者！因你们环绕海洋和土地，去把一个人变成入教者，当他变成了，你们就把他变成超过你们两倍的地狱的孩子。
“你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们走遍洋海陆地，勾引一个人入教，既入了教，却使他作地狱之子，比你们还加倍。
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

你们这瞎眼领路的有祸了，你们说，凡指着殿起誓的，这算不得什么；只是凡指着殿中金子起誓的，他是欠债的。
你们有祸了，你们这瞎带领，你们说，无论谁借着殿发誓，这没什么；但无论谁借着殿的金子发誓，他就是个债务人！
“你们这瞎眼领路的有祸了！你们说：‘凡指着殿起誓的，这算不得什么；只是凡指着殿中金子起誓的，他就该谨守。’
Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!

你们这无知瞎眼的人哪，什么是大的？是金子呢？还是叫金子成圣的殿呢？
你们这愚蠢和瞎眼的；因哪一个更大，金子，还是让金子成圣的殿？
你们这无知瞎眼的人哪，什么是大的？是金子呢？还是叫金子成圣的殿呢？
Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?

你们又说，凡指着祭坛起誓的，这算不得什么；只是凡指着祭坛上礼物起誓的，他就该谨守。
又说，无论谁借着坛发誓，这没什么；但无论谁借着坛上的礼物发誓，他就有罪。
你们又说：‘凡指着坛起誓的，这算不得什么；只是凡指着坛上礼物起誓的，他就该谨守。’
And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.

你们这无知瞎眼的人哪，什么是大的？是礼物呢？还是叫礼物成圣的祭坛呢？
你们这愚蠢和瞎眼的；因哪一个更大，礼物，还是让礼物成圣的坛？
你们这瞎眼的人哪，什么是大的？是礼物呢？还是叫礼物成圣的坛呢？
Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
- 20
所以，人指着祭坛起誓，就是指着祭坛和祭坛上一切所有的起誓；
因此谁借着坛发誓，就是借着坛和坛上的所有事物发誓。
所以，人指着坛起誓，就是指着坛和坛上一切所有的起誓；
Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.

人指着殿起誓，就是指着殿和那住在殿里的起誓；
谁借着殿发誓，就是借着殿，和那住在它里面的发誓。
人指着殿起誓，就是指着殿和那住在殿里的起誓；
And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.

人指着天起誓，就是指着神的宝座和那坐在上面的起誓。
借着天发誓的，他就是借着神的王座，和那坐在上面的发誓。
人指着天起誓，就是指着 神的宝座和那坐在上面的起誓。
And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.

你们这假冒伪善的文士和法利赛人有祸了，因为你们将薄荷、大茴香、小茴香，献上十分之一，那律法上更重的事，就是公平、怜悯、信心，反倒不行了。这更重的是你们应当行的；也不要留下其他的不作。
你们有祸了，众抄写员和法利赛人，伪善者！因你们把薄荷，大茴香，小茴香，都支付了什一，并省略了法律上更重的事务，判决，怜悯，信心；这些是你们应该完成的，也不要留下其他的不做。
“你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们将薄荷、茴香、芹菜献上十分之一，那律法上更重的事，就是公义、怜悯、信实，反倒不行了。这更重的是你们当行的；那也是不可不行的。
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

你们这瞎眼领路的，蠓虫你们就滤出来，骆驼你们倒吞下去。
你们这瞎带领，你们过滤一条蠓虫，又吞下一只骆驼。
你们这瞎眼领路的，蠓虫你们就滤出来，骆驼你们倒吞下去。
Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

你们这假冒伪善的文士和法利赛人有祸了，因为你们洗净杯盘的外面，里面却盛满了勒索和放纵。
你们有祸了，众抄写员和法利赛人，伪善者！因你们使杯子和盘子的外面洁净，但里面满是勒索和过度。
“你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们洗净杯盘的外面，里面却盛满了勒索和放荡。
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

你这瞎眼的法利赛人，先洗净杯盘的里面，好叫外面也干净了。
你这瞎眼的法利赛人，首先要洁净杯子和盘子里面的，从而它们的外面也可以被洁净。
你这瞎眼的法利赛人，先洗净杯盘的里面，好叫外面也干净了。
Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

你们这假冒伪善的文士和法利赛人有祸了，因为你们好像粉饰的坟墓，外面确实好看，里面却装满了死人的骨头和一切的不洁净。
你们有祸了，众抄写员和法利赛人，伪善者！因你们就像刷白的坟墓，它外面确实显得漂亮，但里面满了死人的骨头和一切不洁净的。
“你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们好像粉饰的坟墓，外面好看，里面却装满了死人的骨头和一切的污秽。
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

你们也是这样，在人前，外面显出公义来，里面却装满了伪善 和罪恶。
你们也是这样，外面显出正义来给人们，但你们里面满了伪善和罪过。
你们也是如此，在人前，外面显出公义来，里面却装满了假善和不法的事。
Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

你们这假冒伪善的文士和法利赛人有祸了，因为你们建造众先知的坟，修饰义人的墓，
你们有祸了，众抄写员和法利赛人，伪善者！因为你们建造众预言者的坟，又装饰正义者的墓，
“你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们建造先知的坟，修饰义人的墓，说：
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
- 30
说，若是我们在我们父辈的日子，必不和他们同流众先知的血。
然后说，如果我们在我们父辈的日子里，我们不会成为流众预言者血的那些人的参与者。
‘若是我们在我们祖宗的时候，必不和他们同流先知的血。’
And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
- 31
因此你们自己证明你们就是杀害众先知那些人的儿女。
因此你们是你们自己的见证，你们就是杀死众预言者那些人的孩子们。
这就是你们自己证明是杀害先知者的子孙了。
Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
- 32
你们去充满你们父辈的恶贯吧，
那么你们就去填满你们父辈的份吧。
你们去充满你们祖宗的恶贯吧！
Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
- 33
你们这些蛇类，毒蛇的种类啊，怎能逃脱地狱的刑罚呢？
你们这些蛇，你们蝮蛇的世代，你们怎么能逃避地狱的刑罚？
你们这些蛇类、毒蛇之种啊，怎能逃脱地狱的刑罚呢？
Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
- 34
所以看啊，我差先知和智慧人并文士到你们这里来，有的你们要杀害，要钉十字架；有的你们要在会堂里鞭打，从这城追逼到那城，
所以看啊，我派给你们众预言者，和智慧人，并众抄写员；他们中的一些你们杀了并被钉十字架；他们中的一些你们在你们的会堂里鞭打，又从这城到那城迫害他们；
所以我差遣先知和智慧人并文士到你们这里来，有的你们要杀害，要钉十字架；有的你们要在会堂里鞭打，从这城追逼到那城，
Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

叫世上所流义人的血都归到你们身上，从义人亚伯的血起，直到你们在殿和祭坛中间所杀的巴拉加的儿子撒迦利亚的血为止。
使这地上流出的所有正义的血都可以来到你们身上，从正义的阿伯尔的血起，到你们在殿和坛中间杀的，巴拉基亚斯的儿子撒迦利亚的血。
叫世上所流义人的血都归到你们身上，从义人亚伯的血起，直到你们在殿和坛中间所杀的巴拉加的儿子撒迦利亚的血为止。
That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

我实在对你们说，这一切的事都要归到这世代了。
我实在对你们说，所有这些事情都要来到这个世代上。
我实在告诉你们，这一切的罪都要归到这世代了。”
Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
- 37
耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷，你杀害众先知，又用石头打死那奉差到你这里来的人。我多次愿意聚集你的儿女，好像母鸡把小鸡聚集在翅膀底下，只是你们不愿意。
哦耶路撒冷，耶路撒冷，你杀了众预言者，又用石头打死那些被派到你这里来的人，有多少次我要把你的孩子们聚集到一起，就像一只母鸡把她的小鸡聚集在翅膀底下，你们不愿意！
“耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷啊，你常杀害先知，又用石头打死那奉差遣到你这里来的人。我多次愿意聚集你的儿女，好像母鸡把小鸡聚集在翅膀底下，只是你们不愿意。
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

看啊，你们的家成为荒场留给你们。
看啊，你们的家只给你们剩下荒凉。
看哪，你们的家成为荒场留给你们。
Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
- 39
我告诉你们，从今以后，你们不能再见我，直到你们说，在主的名里来的他是应当称颂的。
因我对你们说，从今以后，你们不会看到我，直到你们说，那在主的名里来的，他是有福的。
我告诉你们，从今以后，你们不得再见我，直等到你们说：‘奉主名来的是应当称颂的。’”
For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
