1. 1

   所有百姓如同一人聚集在水门前的街道，他们告诉文士以斯拉将耶和华借摩西命令以色列人的律法书带来。

   所有人民都自己聚集到一起就像一个人，进入水大门前面的街道；他们就对抄写员埃兹拉说，把主借摩西命令以色列人的法律书带来。

   到了七月，以色列人住在自己的城里。那时，他们如同一人聚集在水门前的宽阔处，请文士以斯拉将耶和华藉摩西传给以色列人的律法书带来。

   And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that was before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel.

2. 2

   七月初一，祭司以斯拉将律法书带到听了能明白的男女会众面前。

   第七个月的第一天，祭司埃兹拉就把法律书带到一切有悟性能听的男人和女人的集合面前。

   And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.

3. 3

   在水门前的街道，从清早到晌午，在众男女、一切听了能明白的人面前读这律法书。所有百姓侧耳而听。

   他就在水大门前面的街道，从早晨到中午，在众男人和女人，并那些能领悟的人面前读；然后所有人民的耳朵都聆听这法律书。

   在水门前的宽阔处，从清早到晌午，在众男女、一切听了能明白的人面前读这律法书。众民侧耳而听。

   And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.

4. 4

   文士以斯拉站在为这事特备的木讲台上。玛他提雅、示玛、亚奈雅、乌利亚、希勒家，和玛西雅站在他的右手边。毗大雅、米沙利、玛基雅、哈顺、哈拔大拿、撒迦利亚，和米书兰站在他的左手边。

   抄写员埃兹拉站在专为这件事造的一个木讲台上；马提斯亚，示马，阿奈亚，乌瑞雅，希基亚，马西亚，站在他的右手边；皮达亚，米沙尔，马尔基亚，哈顺，哈实巴达拿，泽卡瑞亚，米书兰，站在他的左手边。

   文士以斯拉站在为这事特备的木台上。玛他提雅、示玛、亚奈雅、乌利亚、希勒家，和玛西雅站在他的右边；毗大雅、米沙利、玛基雅、哈顺、哈拔大拿、撒迦利亚，和米书兰站在他的左边。

   And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.

   以斯拉在所有百姓眼前打开这书，（因为他站在所有百姓以上，）他一打开，所有百姓就都站起来。

   埃兹拉在所有人民眼前打开这书，（因为他站得高过所有人民；）当他一打开它，所有人民就都站了起来；

   以斯拉站在众民以上，在众民眼前展开这书。他一展开，众民就都站起来。

   And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up:

   以斯拉称颂了耶和华，伟大的神。所有百姓都举手回答，阿们，阿们；他们低头，脸朝地，敬拜耶和华。

   然后埃兹拉祝福了主，这伟大的神。所有人民都举起他们的手回答，阿们，阿们；然后他们低头，脸朝地面敬拜主。

   以斯拉称颂耶和华至大的　神；众民都举手应声说：“阿们！阿们！”就低头，面伏于地，敬拜耶和华。

   And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground.

7. 7

   耶书亚、巴尼、示利比、雅悯、亚谷、沙比太、荷第雅、玛西雅、基利他、亚撒利雅、约撒拔、哈难、毗莱雅，和利未人使百姓明白律法，百姓都站在自己的地方。

   还有耶书亚，贝尼，示瑞比亚，雅明，阿库布，沙比塞，和迪雅，马西亚，基利他，阿扎瑞亚，约扎巴得，哈南，皮莱亚，利未人，使人民去领悟这法律；并且人民都站在自己的位置里。

   耶书亚、巴尼、示利比、雅悯、亚谷、沙比太、荷第雅、玛西雅、基利他、亚撒利雅、约撒拔、哈难、毗莱雅，和利未人使百姓明白律法；百姓都站在自己的地方。

   Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place.

8. 8

   他们清清楚楚地念神的律法书，讲明意思，使百姓明白所念的。

   于是他们清楚地读这书，神的这法律，并赋予了意义，又使他们去领悟读道的。

   他们清清楚楚地念　神的律法书，讲明意思，使百姓明白所念的。

   So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.

9. 9

   省长尼希米和作祭司的文士以斯拉，并教导百姓的利未人，对所有百姓说，今天是耶和华你们神的圣日，不要哀恸、哭泣。这是因为所有百姓听见律法书上的话都哭了。

   然后尼希米亚，就是那执政者，作祭司的抄写员埃兹拉，和教导人民的利未人，对所有人民说，今天是给主你们的神的神圣日子；不要哀悼，也不要哭泣。因为当所有人民听见法律的话语时，他们都哭泣了。

   省长尼希米和作祭司的文士以斯拉，并教训百姓的利未人，对众民说：“今日是耶和华你们　神的圣日，不要悲哀哭泣。”这是因为众民听见律法书上的话都哭了；

   And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.

10. 10

    他又对他们说，你们去吃肥美的，喝甘甜的，有不能预备的就分给他，因为今天是我们主的圣日。你们不要忧愁，因耶和华的喜乐是你们的力量。

    那时他又对他们说，去吧，吃肥美的，喝甘甜的，分出一部分给没有准备好的人们；因今天对我们的主是神圣的；你们不用抱歉；因主的欢喜就是你们的强力。

    又对他们说：“你们去吃肥美的，喝甘甜的，有不能预备的就分给他，因为今日是我们主的圣日。你们不要忧愁，因靠耶和华而得的喜乐是你们的力量。”

    Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

11. 11

    于是利未人使所有百姓静默，说，不要出声，因为今天是圣日，也不要忧伤。

    所以利未人使所有人民平静，说，你们不要出声，因为今天是神圣的；你们也不要忧愁。

    于是利未人使众民静默，说：“今日是圣日；不要作声，也不要忧愁。”

    So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved.

12. 12

    所有百姓都去吃喝，也分给人，大大快乐，因为他们明白所宣告给他们的话。

    所有人民都径直去吃，又去喝，并分给人，然后就大大欢笑，因为他们已经领悟了宣告给他们的话语。

    众民都去吃喝，也分给人，大大快乐，因为他们明白所教训他们的话。

    And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.

13. 13

    次日，众民的族长、祭司，和利未人都聚集到文士以斯拉那里，要明白律法上的话。

    第二天，所有人民的父辈首领，众祭司，利未人都聚集在一起，到抄写员埃兹拉那里，想要领悟这法律的话语。

    次日，众民的族长、祭司，和利未人都聚集到文士以斯拉那里，要留心听律法上的话。

    And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law.

14. 14

    他们见律法上写着，耶和华借摩西命令以色列儿女要在七月节住棚，

    他们发现法律上写着，主借摩西命令以色列孩子们要在第七个月的节期住在棚子里；

    他们见律法上写着，耶和华藉摩西吩咐以色列人要在七月节住棚，

    And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:

15. 15

    并要在各城和耶路撒冷宣传报告说，你们应当上山，将橄榄树枝、松树枝、香桃树枝、棕榈树枝，和各样茂密树的枝子取来，照着所写的搭棚。

    并且他们要在各城和耶路撒冷宣告，说，你们要上山，把橄榄树枝，松树枝，香桃树枝，棕榈树枝，和各样茂密树的枝子取来，照着写道的搭棚子。

    并要在各城和耶路撒冷宣传报告说：“你们当上山，将橄榄树、野橄榄树、番石榴树、棕树，和各样茂密树的枝子取来，照着所写的搭棚。”

    And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.

16. 16

    于是百姓出去，取了树枝来，各人在自己的房顶上，或院内，或神家的院内，或水门的街道上，或以法莲门的街道上搭棚。

    于是人民就出去，把它们带来，各人就在自己的房顶上，或院子里，或神家的院子里，或水大门的街道上，或以弗瑞大门的街道上搭棚子。

    于是百姓出去，取了树枝来，各人在自己的房顶上，或院内，或　神殿的院内，或水门的宽阔处，或以法莲门的宽阔处搭棚。

    So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.

17. 17

    从掳到之地回来的全会众就搭棚，住在棚里。从嫩的儿子约书亚的时候直到今天，以色列儿女没有这样行。于是众人大大喜乐。

    从掳掠中回来的所有集合都搭了棚子，并坐在棚子下面；因自从嫩的儿子约书亚的日子起直到今天，以色列孩子们都没有这样做过。然后就有了非常大的欢喜。

    从掳到之地归回的全会众就搭棚，住在棚里。从嫩的儿子约书亚的时候直到这日，以色列人没有这样行。于是众人大大喜乐。

    And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.

18. 18

    从头一天直到最后一天，以斯拉每天念神的律法书。他们守节七天，第八天照例有严肃会。

    还有从第一天到最后一天，他天天读神的这法律之书。他们守节七天；按照方式第八天是一个严肃的聚会。

    从头一天直到末一天，以斯拉每日念　神的律法书。众人守节七日，第八日照例有严肃会。

    Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.
