孩子们啊，你们要听父亲的教训，留心得知聪明。
你们孩子们，听一个父亲的指示，并留心去知道悟性。
众子啊，要听父亲的教训，留心得知聪明。
Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.

因我所给你们的是好道理；不要离弃我的法则。
因我给你们好的教义；你们不要离弃我的法律。
因我所给你们的是好教训；不可离弃我的法则（或译：指教）。
For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.

我在父亲面前为孝子，在母亲眼中为独一的娇儿。
因我是我父亲的儿子，是我母亲眼里温柔且唯一亲爱的。
我在父亲面前为孝子，在母亲眼中为独一的娇儿。
For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.

父亲教训我说，你心要存记我的言语，遵守我的命令，便得存活。
他也教导我，并对我说，让你的心保存我的话语；持守我的诫命，就活着。
父亲教训我说：“你心要存记我的言语，遵守我的命令，便得存活。
He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.

要得智慧，要得聪明，不要忘记，也不要偏离我口中的言语。
要获得智慧，获得悟性；不要忘记它；也不要从我口中的话语倾斜。
要得智慧，要得聪明，不可忘记，也不可偏离我口中的言语。
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

不要离弃她，她就护卫你；要爱她，她就保守你。
不要离弃她，她就会保全你；爱她，她就会持守你。
不可离弃智慧，智慧就护卫你；要爱她，她就保守你。
Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

智慧为首；所以，要得智慧。用你一切所得的去换聪明。
智慧是主要的事情；因此要获得智慧；用你的一切得到的去获得悟性。
智慧为首；所以，要得智慧。在你一切所得之内必得聪明（或译：用你一切所得的去换聪明）。
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

高举她，她就使你高升；怀抱她，她就使你尊荣。
高举她，她就会使你高升；当你怀抱她，她就会带你到尊荣。
高举智慧，她就使你高升；怀抱智慧，她就使你尊荣。
Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

她必将恩典加在你头上，把荣冕交给你。
她会把一个恩典的饰品给到你的头；她会把一个荣耀的冠冕交给你。
她必将华冠加在你头上，把荣冕交给你。”
She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

我儿啊，你要听受我的言语，就必延年益寿。
听，我的儿子啊，接受我的言语；你生命的年数就会很多。
我儿，你要听受我的言语，就必延年益寿。
Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

我已教导你走智慧的道，引导你行正确的路。
我已在智慧的道路里教导了你；我已在正确的众路径里带领了你。
我已指教你走智慧的道，引导你行正直的路。
I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.

你行走，脚步必不致狭窄；你奔跑，也不致绊跌。
当你行走时，你的脚步就不会被禁锢；当你奔跑时，你也不会绊倒。
你行走，脚步必不致狭窄；你奔跑，也不致跌倒。
When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.

要持定训诲，不要放松她；必当谨守，因为她是你的生命。
紧握住指示；不让她走；持守她；因她是你的生命。
要持定训诲，不可放松；必当谨守，因为它是你的生命。
Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

不要行恶人的路；不要走坏人的道。
不进入恶者的路径，不走进坏人的道路里。
不可行恶人的路；不要走坏人的道。
Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.

要躲避，不要经过；要转身而去。
躲开它，不要经过它，转离它，并走开。

Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.

他们若不行恶，就不能睡觉；不使人跌倒，睡卧不安；
因除非他们做毒害的事，不然他们就不睡觉；除非他们使某些人跌倒，不然他们的睡眠就被拿走；
这等人若不行恶，不得睡觉；不使人跌倒，睡卧不安；
For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

因为他们吃的是邪恶的饭，喝的是强暴的酒。
因他们吃邪恶的饼，喝暴力的酒。
因为他们以奸恶吃饼，以强暴喝酒。
For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

但义人的路好像黎明的光，越照越明，直到日午。
但公正者的路径就像黎明的光，越照越明，直到那完美日。
但义人的路好像黎明的光，越照越明，直到日午。
But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

恶人的道好像黑暗，他们不知因什么绊跌。
恶者的道路就像黑暗；他们不知道因什么绊倒。
恶人的道好像幽暗，自己不知因什么跌倒。
The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

我儿，要留心听我的话，侧耳听我所说的，
我的儿子，聆听我的话语；向我的言语倾你的耳。
我儿，要留心听我的言词，侧耳听我的话语，
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

不叫它们离开你的眼睛，要存记在你心中。
不要让它们离开你的眼睛；把它们持守在你的心中。
都不可离你的眼目，要存记在你心中。
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

因为寻见它们的，就寻见了生命，又寻见了医他们全肉体的良药。
因为对于找到它们的那些人，它们就是生命，就是他们所有肉体的健康。
因为得着它的，就得了生命，又得了医全体的良药。
For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

你要切切保守你心，因为一生的果效是由心发出。
你要用全力持守你的心；因为生命的源头是由它而出。
你要保守你心，胜过保守一切（或译：你要切切保守你心），因为一生的果效是由心发出。
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

你要除掉邪僻的口，弃绝乖谬的唇。
从你除掉一张骄横的口，并远离歪曲的唇。
你要除掉邪僻的口，弃绝乖谬的嘴。
Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

你的眼睛要向前正看；你的眼皮当向前直观。
让你的眼睛向前正看，让你的眼睑向前直视。
你的眼目要向前正看；你的眼睛（原文是皮）当向前直观。
Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

要修平你脚下的路，坚定你一切的道。
思索你脚的路径，让你所有的道路被建立。
要修平你脚下的路，坚定你一切的道。
Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

不要偏向左右；要使你的脚离开邪恶。
不要转向右手边也不要向左边；要挪移你的脚脱离坏事。
不可偏向左右；要使你的脚离开邪恶。
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
