   （大卫上行之诗。）以色列现在要说，若非耶和华在我们一边，

   （大卫的一首上行的歌。）现在，以色列可以说，如果不是主在我们一边；

   以色列人要说：若不是耶和华帮助我们，

   (A Song of degrees of David.) If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;

   若非耶和华在我们一边，当人起来攻击我们，

   如果不是主在我们一边，当人们起来攻击我们时；

   若不是耶和华帮助我们，当人起来攻击我们、

   If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

   向我们发怒时，就把我们活活地吞了。

   那时他们的怒火对我们点燃时，他们就把我们生吞掉了；

   向我们发怒的时候，就把我们活活地吞了。

   Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

   那时，众水必漫过我们，水流必淹没我们的魂，

   那时众水已经漫过了我们，水流已淹没了我们的魂；

   那时，波涛必漫过我们，河水必淹没我们，

   Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

   狂傲的众水必淹没我们的魂。

   那时狂傲的众水已经淹没了我们的魂。

   狂傲的水必淹没我们。

   Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

6. 6

   耶和华是应当称颂的，他没有把我们当猎物交给他们的牙齿。

   主是蒙福的，他没有把我们当作一个猎物交给他们的牙齿。

   耶和华是应当称颂的！他没有把我们当野食交给他们吞吃（原文是牙齿）。

   Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

7. 7

   我们的魂好像雀鸟，从捕鸟人的网罗里逃脱了；网罗破裂，我们逃脱了。

   我们的魂像只鸟一样，从捕鸟人的网罗里逃避；网罗破裂，我们就逃了。

   我们好像雀鸟，从捕鸟人的网罗里逃脱；网罗破裂，我们逃脱了。

   Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

8. 8

   我们的帮助，是在乎依靠造天地之耶和华的名。

   我们的帮助，是在那造了天和地的主的名里。

   我们得帮助，是在乎倚靠造天地之耶和华的名。

   Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
