   路得的婆婆拿俄米对她说，女儿啊，我不应当为你找到安息，使你享福吗？

   那时她的婆婆拿奥米对她说，我的女儿，我难道不会为你寻找休息，使你可以顺利？

   路得的婆婆拿俄米对她说：“女儿啊，我不当为你找个安身之处，使你享福吗？

   Then Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?

2. 2

   你与波阿斯的使女常在一处，波阿斯不是我们的亲族吗？看啊，他今夜在场上簸大麦；

   难道伯阿兹，就是你与他的侍女们在一起的，不是我们的亲族？看啊，他今夜就在脱粒场上簸大麦。

   你与波阿斯的使女常在一处，波阿斯不是我们的亲族吗？他今夜在场上簸大麦；

   And now is not Boaz of our kindred, with whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to night in the threshingfloor.

   因此你要沐浴抹膏，换上衣服，下到场上，却不要使那人认出你来。你等他吃喝完了，

   因此你要清洗自己，并膏抹自己，又把你的衣裳穿在你身上，下到场上；但是不要让那人认出你，直到他吃喝完了。

   Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking.

   到他睡的时候，你看准他睡的地方，就进去掀开他脚上的被，躺卧在那里，他必告诉你所应当作的事。

   要这样，当他躺下的时候，你要在他躺下的地方做记号，然后你就进去，揭开他的双脚，躺下；然后他会告诉你要做什么。

   And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do.

   她对她说，凡你对我所说的，我必遵行。

   路得说：“凡你所吩咐的，我必遵行。”

   And she said unto her, All that thou sayest unto me I will do.

   And she went down unto the floor, and did according to all that her mother in law bade her.

   波阿斯吃喝完了，他的心欢畅，就去睡在麦堆旁边。路得便悄悄地来掀开他脚上的被，躺卧在那里。

   当伯阿兹吃喝完了，他的心快乐，他就去躺在谷堆尽头；然后她就轻轻地来，揭开他的双脚，躺下。

   波阿斯吃喝完了，心里欢畅，就去睡在麦堆旁边。路得便悄悄地来掀开他脚上的被，躺卧在那里。

   And when Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of corn: and she came softly, and uncovered his feet, and laid her down.

8. 8

   到了夜半，那人害怕，翻过身来，看啊，一个女人躺在他的脚下。

   这样发生了，到了半夜，那人害怕，转过身来；看啊，有一个女人躺在他的脚下。

   到了夜半，那人忽然惊醒，翻过身来，不料有女子躺在他的脚下。

   And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet.

   他就说，你是谁？她回答说，我是你的女仆路得。求你用你的衣襟遮盖我，因为你是我一个近的男亲戚。

   他说，你是谁？她回答，我是你的侍女如斯；因此铺开你的裙边遮盖你的侍女吧；因为你是我一个近亲。

   他就说：“你是谁？”回答说：“我是你的婢女路得。求你用你的衣襟遮盖我，因为你是我一个至近的亲属。”

   And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.

10. 10

    他说，女儿啊，愿你蒙耶和华祝福。因你最后显出的善行比之前更大，因为年轻人无论贫富，你都没有跟从。

    他说，我的女儿，你是蒙主祝福的；因你在后来结束的时候显出的仁慈，比一开始的时候更多，由于你没有跟随众年轻人，无论贫富。

    波阿斯说：“女儿啊，愿你蒙耶和华赐福。你末后的恩比先前更大；因为少年人无论贫富，你都没有跟从。

    And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.

11. 11

    我女儿啊，现在不要畏惧，凡你所说的，我必照着行；我本城的人都知道你是个贤德的女人。

    我的女儿，现在不要畏惧；我要对你做一切你要求的；因我人民的全城都知道你是个有美德的女人。

    女儿啊，现在不要惧怕，凡你所说的，我必照着行；我本城的人都知道你是个贤德的女子。

    And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.

12. 12

    我确实是你一个近的男亲戚，只是还有一个男亲戚比我更近。

    现在，这是事实，我是你的近亲；只是还有一个男亲戚比我更近。

    我实在是你一个至近的亲属，只是还有一个人比我更近。

    And now it is true that I am thy near kinsman: howbeit there is a kinsman nearer than I.

13. 13

    你今夜留在这里，明早他若愿意为你尽男亲戚的本分，很好；让他尽男亲戚的本分；但如果他不愿意向你尽男亲戚的本分，那么，正如耶和华活着，我将为你尽男亲戚的本分；只管躺到早上。

    今夜留下，明早要这样，如果他为你履行男亲戚的份，那就好；让他履行男亲戚的份；但如果他不向你履行男亲戚的份，那么，正如主活着，我会为你履行男亲戚的份；躺到早晨吧。

    你今夜在这里住宿，明早他若肯为你尽亲属的本分，就由他吧！倘若不肯，我指着永生的耶和华起誓，我必为你尽了本分，你只管躺到天亮。”

    Tarry this night, and it shall be in the morning, that if he will perform unto thee the part of a kinsman, well; let him do the kinsman's part: but if he will not do the part of a kinsman to thee, then will I do the part of a kinsman to thee, as the LORD liveth: lie down until the morning.

14. 14

    路得便在他脚下躺到天快亮，人彼此不能辨认的时候就起来了。波阿斯说，不能使人知道有女子到场上来；

    她就在他脚下躺到早晨；她在一个还无法知道另一个之前就起来了。他说，不要让人知道有个女人到场上来过。

    路得便在他脚下躺到天快亮，人彼此不能辨认的时候就起来了。波阿斯说：“不可使人知道有女子到场上来”；

    And she lay at his feet until the morning: and she rose up before one could know another. And he said, Let it not be known that a woman came into the floor.

15. 15

    并且他说，打开你所披的外衣。她打开了，波阿斯就撮了六簸箕大麦，帮她扛在肩上，她便进城去了。

    他又说，你把你身上的帕子拿来，拿好它。她拿好了，他就量了六份大麦，放在她身上；然后她就进城去了。

    又对路得说：“打开你所披的外衣。”她打开了，波阿斯就撮了六簸箕大麦，帮她扛在肩上，她便进城去了。

    Also he said, Bring the vail that thou hast upon thee, and hold it. And when she held it, he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her: and she went into the city.

16. 16

    当她回到婆婆那里，婆婆说，女儿啊，怎么样了？路得就将那人向她所行的述说了一遍，

    当她来到她婆婆那里，婆婆说，我的女儿，你是谁？她就把那人向她做的告诉了她。

    路得回到婆婆那里，婆婆说：“女儿啊，怎么样了？”路得就将那人向她所行的述说了一遍，

    And when she came to her mother in law, she said, Who art thou, my daughter? And she told her all that the man had done to her.

17. 17

    又说，那人给了我六簸箕大麦，对我说，你不能空手回去见你的婆婆。

    她说，他给了我这六份大麦；因他对我说，不要空空地去你的婆婆那里。

    又说：“那人给了我六簸箕大麦，对我说：‘你不可空手回去见你的婆婆。’”

    And she said, These six measures of barley gave he me; for he said to me, Go not empty unto thy mother in law.

18. 18

    然后她说，女儿啊，你只管安坐等候，看这事怎样成就，因为那人今天不办成这事必不休息。

    于是她说，我的女儿，静静坐着，直到你知道这事要怎么落下；因那人不会在休息里，直到他今天完成了这事。4

    婆婆说：“女儿啊，你只管安坐等候，看这事怎样成就，因为那人今日不办成这事必不休息。”

    Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.
