参巴拉听见我们修造城墙就发怒，大大恼恨，嘲笑犹太人，
但这样发生了，当森巴拉特听见我们建造城墙时，他就恼怒，并大为愤怒，又嘲弄犹太人。
参巴拉听见我们修造城墙就发怒，大大恼恨，嗤笑犹大人，
But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.

对他弟兄和撒玛利亚的军队说，这些软弱的犹太人作什么呢？要保护自己吗？要献祭吗？要一天完成吗？要从烧过的土堆里恢复这些石头吗？
他在他弟兄们和撒玛利亚的军队面前说，这些虚弱的犹太人做什么？他们要防御自己吗？他们要祭祀吗？他们要在一天内完成吗？他们要从烧过的土堆里复苏这些石头吗？
对他弟兄和撒玛利亚的军兵说：“这些软弱的犹大人做什么呢？要保护自己吗？要献祭吗？要一日成功吗？要从土堆里拿出火烧的石头再立墙吗？”
And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?

亚扪人多比雅站在旁边，说，他们所修造的石墙，就是狐狸上去也必毁坏。
阿门人图比亚就在他旁边，说，他们建造的石墙，就是狐狸上去也会坏掉。
亚扪人多比雅站在旁边，说：“他们所修造的石墙，就是狐狸上去也必跐倒。”
Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.

我们的神啊，求你垂听，因为我们被藐视。求你使他们的诽谤归于他们的头上，使他们在掳到之地作为掠物。
我们的神啊，请听；因为我们被藐视了；求你使他们的耻辱转到他们头上，使他们在掳掠的土地成为一个猎物；
我们的　神啊，求你垂听，因为我们被藐视。求你使他们的毁谤归于他们的头上，使他们在掳到之地作为掠物。
Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity:

不要遮掩他们的罪孽，不要使他们的罪从你面前涂抹，因为他们在修造的人眼前惹动你的怒气。
并且不要遮掩他们的罪过，不要使他们的罪从你面前涂抹；因为他们在这些建造者眼前惹你生气。
不要遮掩他们的罪孽，不要使他们的罪恶从你面前涂抹，因为他们在修造的人眼前惹动你的怒气。
And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee: for they have provoked thee to anger before the builders.

这样，我们修造城墙，城墙就都连络，高至一半，因为百姓专心工作。
所以，我们建了城墙；所有的城墙都连起来直到它的一半；因为人民专心去工作。
这样，我们修造城墙，城墙就都连络，高至一半，因为百姓专心做工。
So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.

但参巴拉、多比雅、阿拉伯人、亚扪人、亚实突人听见修造耶路撒冷城墙，着手进行堵塞破口，就非常愤怒。
但这样发生了，当森巴拉特，图比亚，阿拉伯人，阿门人，阿实多得人听见耶路撒冷的城墙被建起来了，破口也开始被堵住时，于是他们非常恼怒，
参巴拉、多比雅、阿拉伯人、亚扪人、亚实突人听见修造耶路撒冷城墙，着手进行堵塞破裂的地方，就甚发怒。
But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth,

大家同谋要来攻击耶路撒冷，阻碍它。
然后他们所有人就密谋要来攻击耶路撒冷，并阻碍这事。
大家同谋要来攻击耶路撒冷，使城内扰乱。
And conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it.

然而，我们祷告我们的神，又因为他们，就派人看守，昼夜防备。
然而，我们向我们的神作了祷告，因为他们，我们就派人昼夜看守。
然而，我们祷告我们的　神，又因他们的缘故，就派人看守，昼夜防备。
Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.

犹大人说，灰土很多，挑担的人力气已经衰败，所以我们无法建造城墙。
犹大说，废物很多，并且挑担人的强力已经衰败；所以我们无法建造城墙。
犹大人说：“灰土尚多，扛抬的人力气已经衰败，所以我们不能建造城墙。”
And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall.

我们的敌人说，趁他们不知道也没看见，我们去到他们中间，杀他们，使工作止住。
并且我们的众仇敌说，他们不会知道，也看不到，直到我们去到他们中间，杀了他们，这样工作就停住了。
我们的敌人且说：“趁他们不知不见，我们进入他们中间，杀他们，使工作止住。”
And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease.

那靠近敌人居住的犹太人十次从各处来见我们，说，你们必要回到我们那里。
这样发生了，当那些住得靠近他们的犹太人来时，他们对我们说了十次，你们从各处回到我们这里吧，他们要对你们下手。
那靠近敌人居住的犹大人十次从各处来见我们，说：“你们必要回到我们那里。”
And it came to pass, that when the Jews which dwelt by them came, they said unto us ten times, From all places whence ye shall return unto us they will be upon you.

所以我使百姓各按宗族拿剑、拿矛、拿弓站在高处并城墙后边低洼的空处。
因此我设立人民，按他们的家庭，拿着剑，矛，弓，到高处和城墙后面的低洼处。
所以我使百姓各按宗族拿刀、拿枪、拿弓站在城墙后边低洼的空处。
Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows.

我察看了，就起来对众贵族、众官长，和其余的百姓说，不要怕他们。应当记念主是大而可畏的。你们要为你们的弟兄们、你们的儿子们、你们的女儿们、你们的妻子们、你们的家争战。
并且我察看了，就起来，又对众贵族，众管理者，其余的人民说，你们不要害怕他们；记得主是伟大的和恐怖的，你们要为你们的弟兄们，你们的儿子们，你们的女儿们，你们的妻子们，你们的家争战。
我察看了，就起来对贵胄、官长，和其余的人说：“不要怕他们！当记念主是大而可畏的。你们要为弟兄、儿女、妻子、家产争战。”
And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the LORD, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.

当仇敌听见我们知道了这事，见神也破坏他们的计谋，就不来了。我们都回到城墙那里，各作各的工。
这样发生了，当敌人听见我们知道了这事，并且神使他们的计谋归为无有，我们所有人就返回了城墙，每个人去到自己的工作上。
仇敌听见我们知道他们的心意，见　神也破坏他们的计谋，就不来了。我们都回到城墙那里，各做各的工。
And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that it was known unto us, and God had brought their counsel to nought, that we returned all of us to the wall, every one unto his work.
16
从那时起，我的仆人一半工作，一半拿枪、盾牌、拿弓、拿铠甲，官长都站在一切犹大家的后边。
这样发生了，从那时起我的仆人们一半工作，另一半拿矛，盾牌，弓，锁甲；众管理者在犹大全家的后边。
从那日起，我的仆人一半做工，一半拿枪、拿盾牌、拿弓、穿（或译：拿）铠甲，官长都站在犹大众人的后边。
And it came to pass from that time forth, that the half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them held both the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the habergeons; and the rulers were behind all the house of Judah.
17
修造城墙的，抬材料的，都一手工作一手拿武器。
那些建墙的，和那些挑担的，与那些装载的在一起，每个人都一只手做工作，一手只拿武器。
修造城墙的，扛抬材料的，都一手做工一手拿兵器。
They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.
18
修造的人都腰间佩剑修造，吹角的人在我旁边。
建造者，每一个都腰间佩剑来建造。并且吹号发声的人在我旁边。
修造的人都腰间佩刀修造，吹角的人在我旁边。
For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and so builded. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me.

我对众贵族、众官长，和其余的百姓说，这工程浩大，我们在城墙上相离很远。
然后我对众贵族，众管理者，其余的人民说，这工作巨大且规模大，我们在墙上相互被分开离得很远。
我对贵胄、官长，和其余的人说：“这工程浩大，我们在城墙上相离甚远；
And I said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The work is great and large, and we are separated upon the wall, one far from another.
20
你们听见角声在哪里，就聚集到我们那里去。我们的神必为我们争战。
因此，你们无论在哪个地方听见号声，就要聚集到我们这里；我们的神会为我们打仗。
你们听见角声在哪里，就聚集到我们那里去。我们的　神必为我们争战。”
In what place therefore ye hear the sound of the trumpet, resort ye thither unto us: our God shall fight for us.
21
于是，我们劳碌工作，一半人拿武器，从天亮直到星星出现的时候。
所以，我们在工作中劳动的；一半人拿矛，从早晨起来直到星星出现。
于是，我们做工，一半拿兵器，从天亮直到星宿出现的时候。
So we laboured in the work: and half of them held the spears from the rising of the morning till the stars appeared.
22
那时，我也这样对百姓说，各人和他的仆人应当在耶路撒冷住宿，好在晚上保守我们，白天工作。
同样，我也照样对人民说，各人和他的仆人要住在耶路撒冷，从而在夜里守护我们，并且在白天劳动。
那时，我又对百姓说：“各人和他的仆人当在耶路撒冷住宿，好在夜间保守我们，白昼做工。”
Likewise at the same time said I unto the people, Let every one with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, that in the night they may be a guard to us, and labour on the day.
23
这样，我和众弟兄、众仆人，并跟从我的护兵，所有人除沐浴外，都不脱衣服。
这样，我和弟兄们，众仆人，跟随我的卫兵，所有人，除了沐浴外，都不脱衣服。
这样，我和弟兄仆人，并跟从我的护兵都不脱衣服，出去打水也带兵器。
So neither I, nor my brethren, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard which followed me, none of us put off our clothes, saving that every one put them off for washing.
