一个智慧的儿子听父亲的教训；但亵慢人不听责备。
一个智慧的儿子听他父亲的指示；但一个鄙视者不听斥责。
智慧子听父亲的教训；亵慢人不听责备。
A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.

人因口所结的果子，必吃美福；但犯法的魂必吃强暴。
一个人借他口的果子会吃好东西；但违犯者们的魂会吃暴力。
人因口所结的果子，必享美福；奸诈人必遭强暴。
A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.

谨守他口的，得保生命；但大张他唇的，必有毁灭。
持守自己的口的人，他就持守自己的生命；但敞开自己的唇的人，他就会有毁灭。
谨守口的，得保生命；大张嘴的，必致败亡。
He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

懒惰的魂羡慕，却无所得；但殷勤的魂必得丰裕。
懒惰者的魂渴望，却什么都没有；但殷勤者的魂会成为肥硕。
懒惰人羡慕，却无所得；殷勤人必得丰裕。
The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

义人恨恶谎言；但恶人有臭名，且致惭愧。
一个正义的人恨谎话；但一个邪恶的人是讨厌的，以致羞愧。
义人恨恶谎言；恶人有臭名，且致惭愧。
A righteous man hateth lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame.

行为正直的，有公义保守；但犯罪的，被邪恶倾覆。
正义持守在道路里正直的人；但邪恶推倒罪人。
行为正直的，有公义保守；犯罪的，被邪恶倾覆。
Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.

以自己为富足的，却一无所有；以自己为贫穷的，却大有财富。
有使自己富足的，却什么都没拥有；有使自己贫穷的，却拥有极大的财物。
假作富足的，却一无所有；装作穷乏的，却广有财物。
There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.

人的财富是他生命的赎价；但贫穷人不听责备。
一个人生命的赎价是他的财物；但贫穷者不听斥责。
人的资财是他生命的赎价；穷乏人却听不见威吓的话。
The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.

义人的光欢喜；但恶人的灯要熄灭。
正义者的光喜乐；但恶者的灯要被熄灭。
义人的光明亮（原文是欢喜）；恶人的灯要熄灭。
The light of the righteous rejoiceth: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.

骄傲只引起争吵；但听劝言的，有智慧。
争吵唯独借骄傲而来；但智慧与受到好建议的在一起。
骄傲只启争竞；听劝言的，却有智慧。
Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.

不劳而得之财必然消耗；但勤劳积蓄的，必见加增。
借虚空得到的财富会被缩减；但借劳动聚集的人，他会增加。
不劳而得之财必然消耗；勤劳积蓄的，必见加增。
Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.

所盼望的耽搁未得，令人心忧；但当所愿意的临到，是生命树。
盼望被拖延致使心生病；但当渴望来到时，它就是一棵生命树。
所盼望的迟延未得，令人心忧；所愿意的临到，却是生命树。
Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

藐视这话的，必被毁灭；但畏惧诫命的，必得报酬。
无论谁藐视这话就会被毁灭；但畏惧诫命的人，他会被奖赏。
藐视训言的，自取灭亡；敬畏诫命的，必得善报。
Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

智慧人的法则是生命的泉源，可以使人离开死亡的网罗。
智者的法律是一个生命的泉源，为要离开死亡的众网罗。
智慧人的法则（或译：指教）是生命的泉源，可以使人离开死亡的网罗。
The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

美好的聪明使人蒙恩；犯法人的道路崎岖难行。
好的悟性给予喜爱；但违犯者们的道路是困难的。
美好的聪明使人蒙恩；奸诈人的道路崎岖难行。
Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.

每个精明人都凭知识行事；但愚昧人张扬自己的愚昧。
每个审慎的人都用知识做事；但一个愚蠢者敞开自己的愚昧。
凡通达人都凭知识行事；愚昧人张扬自己的愚昧。
Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly.

奸恶的使者必遭害；但忠信的使臣是医治。
一个邪恶的使者落入毒害；但一个守信的大使就是健康。
奸恶的使者必陷在祸患里；忠信的使臣乃医人的良药。
A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.

拒绝管教的，必致贫受辱；但留意责备的，必得尊荣。
拒绝指示的人，会贫乏且羞愧；但重视责备的人，他会被尊荣。
弃绝管教的，必致贫受辱；领受责备的，必得尊荣。
Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.

所欲的成就，魂觉甘甜；但远离恶事，为愚昧人所憎恶。
渴望成就了，对于魂是甘甜的；但对于愚蠢者来说，脱离坏事是憎恶。
所欲的成就，心觉甘甜；远离恶事，为愚昧人所憎恶。
The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil.

与智慧人同行的，必得智慧；但和愚昧人作伴的，必致毁灭。
与智慧的人们一起行走的人，他就会有智慧；但一个愚蠢者的同伴会被毁灭。
与智慧人同行的，必得智慧；和愚昧人作伴的，必受亏损。
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

罪恶追赶罪人；但义人必得善报。
坏事追赶众罪人；但正义者会有好事回报。
祸患追赶罪人；义人必得善报。
Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.

善人给他孩子的孩子遗留产业；罪人为义人积存资财。
一个好人给他孩子的孩子留下一个产业；罪人的财富为公正者堆积。
善人给子孙遗留产业；罪人为义人积存资财。
A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

穷人耕种多得粮食，但因无公平，有消灭的。
贫穷者的耕耘里是许多吃的；但有人因缺乏判决而被毁灭。
穷人耕种多得粮食，但因不义，有消灭的。
Much food is in the tillage of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for want of judgment.

不忍用杖打他儿子的，是恨恶他；但爱儿子的，及时管教。
克制自己杖的人，他恨自己的儿子；但爱儿子的人，及时管教他。
不忍用杖打儿子的，是恨恶他；疼爱儿子的，随时管教。
He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

义人吃得魂满足，但恶人的肚子必缺乏。
正义者吃到他的魂满足；但恶者的肚子会缺乏。
义人吃得饱足；恶人肚腹缺粮。
The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.
